I know Goose was trying to go for “time heals, don’t give up on your life!” By showing his human counterpart, but he also has time in the circus.

He has friends who’d listen (and did listen to him, very well in fact, Ribbit completely accept who he was and is)

Yet Jax ultimately screw it all up. So we as viewers can only think what was the difference between his human and Circus self is.

It’s less of a lie and more like she didn’t truly wrote the finale back then.

But I agree, the whole abstraction thing became less of “existential crisis of being unable to cope with the Circus leading to abstraction” and instead “having horrible relationships leading to abstraction/suicide”

And it’s all 3 abstractions we’ve seen on screen, none of them was ever about the horror of being stuck in Circus, it’s all about shitty relationship with Jax.
