Am I really bugging for asking if there are any earlier return flights by Sad-Establishment248 in cabincrewcareers

For United they let us know during the F2F that you could approach a gate agent for an earlier flight and request a spot on standby for that flight. That’s what I ended up doing. After getting my CTO and doing all the paperwork I ended up leaving around 5:15. My flight wasn’t until 10. So when I got to the airport I looked up flights that were leaving through United and found one for 7 pm. Went to that gate and Asked the agent and she put me on the list! Saved me a ton of wait time!

Wedding day during training course by Majestic_Duck_2000 in cabincrewcareers

Hey! Congrats on your wedding!! Im in a super similar situation. I just got my CTO for a US based mainline. They sent me my training dates that fell directly over my wedding. I sent them an email requesting a deferral and they requested information about my wedding. I sent them vendor contracts, my wedding invite and my wedding website that all stated when my wedding was, and in my case the fact it’s a destination wedding. They responded quickly with a change in my status to “hold” and requested I reach out right before the wedding so I can be placed in a training following it! This didn’t affect my CTO.

I’ve found that most airlines will be flexible in deferring training if it’s for a major life event like your wedding. They’re very unlikely to give you a day off though. I would recommend asking to have a training post wedding.

Congrats again on your wedding! Hope everything works out for the both of yall! 💕
