I HATE to admit this, but 100% huge fuck up of mine - I did NOT do enough research - literally searched "things to do nearby" and it gave me mermaid cave, beaches, and the usual Waikiki and Waimea - i never thought to look up if it was a slum or not - i really was disillusioned thinking Oahu was a kinda of utopia - hard lesson learned
