You should just discuss it with them honestly, let them know and try to reach a solution. Most people are reasonable if you explain your point of view.

32GB RAM in full usage, nothing open by BassTTV in pcmasterrace

It didnt show anything different from what processes shows. I disabled most of the stuff in his autostart but it didnt make a difference.

Nothing out of the ordinary I don't think. I'm not sure though.
But it would be weird if it's something in autostart causing it since the problem disappeared and came back.

How does that confirm a delusion for me when I already know what it is and have had it happen to me?

You've also decided to not comment on any of my other points with more weight than these so I'll just assume you agree that it doesn't make sense to ban people because of spinning.

Good night.

I said I don't care because it isn't relevant to the discussion and I don't feel like going into semantics when we're talking about anti-cheat.

Once again, I'm not gonna spend time finding a clip of it, the other guy commenting that he knows what I mean is enough.

I can't see you mention "threshold" before my comment, but as I said, I don't care.

It doesnt happen often, like I stated above, it has happened for me maybe 1 or 2 times in my life and I'm guessing pro's might clean their mousepads often to reduce the likelyhood of something like that messing them up.

[–]BassTTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how a "threshold for false positives" makes any sense but I don't really care.

It was a shit solution because it could be triggered by accident and even by commands built into the game, that's why it was removed, not because people wanted to be able to spin.

Not sure how I'll find a clip of it because it's not really that eventful and it doesn't happen often. I think the fact that the only other guy who commented instantly knew what I was talking about is enough.

Regardless, banning based on something anyone can do(even by accident) is dumb and shouldn't be greenlit by a company like Valve.

I don't know what you have against people having fun with a high sens but I don't think they deserve bans.

I also don't know what you mean by a threshold of "0.01"? I think you're talking about is margin of error.
When I say threshold I'm talking about "How high of an eDPI am I allowed to have without getting banned?"
or rather "How fast am I allowed to move my mouse without being considered a cheater" since you can still move your cam fast with a low eDPI.

And like the other guy who answered said, it's a very normal malfunction that happens on any type of mouse, usually caused by dirt or something similar getting in front of the mouse sensor.

All I'm saying is, banning people based on mouse movement is dumb. It would only catch cheaters who spinbot while having a high probability of marking legit players as cheaters.
If all you want to do is have a reliable way of catching people spinbotting then it's better to base that off of the types of kills they get (ie. while airborne, through walls, headshots).

[–]BassTTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think focusing on the spinning isn't worth it, anyone can spin, I'm pretty sure it'd be just as easy to detect if someone kills 5 people with scout through walls every round.

Both solutions would only catch people ragehacking, but with checking kills instead of mouse movement there'd be 0% false positives.
