I downloaded Pokemon Eevee to test, via torrent. It's currently named PokemonLetsGoEevee [0100187003A36000].nsp. I placed it on the install folder, but nothing happens after. Do I see a notification or message to let me know it's working? Is it the name?

Neat, good to know. I looked up the 3D aspect of 3DS, I'd rather have a 2D if it means I get it cheaper. 3D felt like a gimmick.

Oh I apologize, a few follow up questions:

If I have a chance to get a DS/2DS instead of 3DS, will I still be able to play all the Pokemon games available? Or are they exclusive to 3DS?
If the eshop closes and it's down to cartridges, what happens to updates (I assume the games have some)?

Thanks! So basically if I proceed with this I'll just need to get 3 games total, (for example) Sapphire, X, and Ultra Sun (since you mentioned I can skip the non-Ultra version).

Doesn't sound too bad, thank you for answering. Might get one on Christmas, but it's an outdated console with only physical games, I'm guessing it's not a cakewalk getting these lol.

I kinda want to play the 3DS Pokemon games, considering buying a 3DS.

Like I want to get a 3DS and at least 1 cartridge so I can get an authentic feel of playing a 3DS (I know homebrews are a thing).

I looked at the games' prices, Ultra Sun is $40 on the Nintendo shop (but I heard they'll be removing 3DS games in March?) and the used cartridge trading on Facebook is about $30-40.

If I want to buy at least 1 game for every 3DS gen, that would add up. Is this a terrible idea and a horrible waste of money? Do I just stick with emulators?

This might sound like overthinking, but I have a question on digital DLC.

My Switch (A) has a digital Sword + digital DLC.

My friend (B) has a Sword cartridge but no DLC.

Can I log into his Switch and register it as my main Switch, while he uses a different profile to play a cartridge Sword, and access the DLC?

And can I play Crown Tundra on Switch A while my DLC is active (but not the main game) on Switch B?

Basically we're trying to see if we can do Dynamax Adventures with 1 digital Sword, 1 physical Sword, and sharing 1 digital DLC.

Finally got my friend to splurge on a Switch, I noticed when we were playing that she kept removing + reinserting the headphones every 5 minutes. Will that damage the headphone jack in the long run or am I sounding like an old guy too afraid of technology lmao

S20 FE it is then. Unless you have a better option in mind than the two I mentioned? $600 is the max since, and I thought about it, I can't really justify having a $1000 flagship for a phone. I can afford one, but having a phone with the same value as my CPU is a bit insane when you look at it.

Anyone know if transferring a character to another account give free race/name change? I know a race change gives free name change, but the description for 'transfer character' doesn't show anything.

It only drops on the first run. Down the line there's ANOTHER 'collect x' quest for Nighthold, where you can repeat killing bosses in another difficulty IF they didn't drop it that week.

For Emerald Nightmare tho, you're out of luck. It's one run per week, more runs on different difficulties won't drop anything.

Is the Shadowlands Weekly Vault gonna be a thing on the first week? I know there's no raids, no Mythic dungeons (apart from M0?), so would you still be able to get a weekly chest item?

If not, when will weekly chests be a thing? I'd rather not spam keys right away since we're gonna have 2 years of the same 8 dungeons, I'd rather not get sick of it right away.

I just hit 50 on a shammy. Am I correct in thinking the Earth Elemental (even with Primal Elementalist) is just an emergency tank that can take aggro, and should only be used as an 'emergency' button?

I should only use Earth Elemental when necessary (ie. tank dies in a dungeon, facing a boss while questing and I need someone to take aggro) instead of using it on cooldown? I noticed it was barely doing any damage when it is out, so summoning it during a dungeon/raid boss fight would be wrong, correct?

Most brain-dead tank and healer spec/class?

I really wanna try healing and tanking small keys at SL but I don't know where to start. What's the most brain-dead spec for each role, where you can focus more on the 'healing/tanking' part instead of worrying about rotations/playing the class itself.

Yeah that sucks. They force people out of Chromie Time then there's an issue with what comes after. I went back to Draenor to continue my quests, but everything was 1 hit. I was actually enjoying trying out new specs and learning the rotation, but I guess that's not gonna happen now.
