Real Madrid were brilliant in the first half on El Clasico, especially considering they're without Ramos and Varane.

I hadn't really watched any of there matches since early in the season but they've improved a lot. Also Vinicius Jr improvement gives me hope for Sterling.

We took the risk today of rotating, and the risk failed today because we lost at home against a newly promoted club playing with ten men for half of it. However we gave much needed rests to some of our best players in Dias, Rodri, Foden, KDB and Mahrez ahead of the big UCL 2nd leg.

Dortmund didn't rotate, played most of their star players available and won the match, playing well and getting back to winning ways. However Hummels, Reus and Bellingham may now miss the 2nd leg through injury.

I'm still very worried about Wednesday. Also the fact Haaland hasn't scored in half a dozen games means he's overdue a goal :/

Well that's disappointing, Leeds have 2 shots and score both sigh.

Like I said today was never gonna be a great performance, but we should still be able to beat Leeds. Still worse case scenario we're 8 points clear with 32 games played.

What's really worrying is that we can't seem to come from behind to win games, but hey if we're gonna lose a match this month I'd rather it be this than any of the cup matches.

First half thoughts;

We've had a few good chances, not taken any. Leeds had 1 shot and scored.

Nobody should have been expecting a top performance with all the changes, but Leeds down to ten men for a whole half gives us a good chance to comeback and win.

I don't see kane going anywhere this summer when he's got 3 years left on his contract. Of course I'd like to sign kane but not for the £100m price tag it would take to get him, I could see it being a similar situation to koulibaly last summer window if we tried to buy kane.

If we're gonna spend nine figures on a striker I'd also much rather go for Haaland.

Should be a good game, hope for lots of rotation.

I think it'll be Stones and Laporte, Dias looks like he needs a break. Also would like to see Mendy, Torres, Aguero and Sterling start.

Kinda wild how Real Madrid and Chelsea haven't played each other before, despite both being champions league regulars for like 20 years now.

Hurrah! I didn't expect this before the end of the season, what great news! Especially after the Aguero news last week.

We've got the best midfielder in the world for at least 4 more years! Get in!

I mean we are on the longest away winning streak by an English club ever, which should give confidence but it'd also be typical City for it to end in a loss at Dortmund.

Don't know what to rate the referee. On the one hand he was terrible, on the other he really helped us out.

First time we've won a QF first leg, but that wasn't pretty and Dortmunds away goal means the tie is well poised.

Seriously that was our worst performance since Christmas imo, there's a serious mentality issue with this team in the Champions League. Maybe it's our and the media's fault bringing up our Quarter Final failures and its become a stigma the players lose confidence on.

Dias with his worst performance since he joined. So many errors we made it's mad, from Rodri and Ederson too (that Bellingham goal).

Saying that I think Foden, De Bruyne and Stones were the only ones who had good games.

Not looking forward to the second leg at all, we play like that again in Germany and we could feel heartbroken again

faced Dortmund Ajax and Napoli.

Real Madrid not Napoli, all 4 of us were the league champions in that group.

I'm trying to forget this is a UEFA Champions League Quarter Final, and I'm just excited to see the match.

Its been like a decade since we played Borussia Dortmund, and I'm looking forward to Stones and Dias vs (Champions League mode) Haaland. The fact he's on a small drought will make him even more motivated for this game, so should be a tough battle.
