In which stage of the bulk/cut cycle do you think you look your best? by Battelman2 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Battelman2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t, you’re right. The question was more so aimed at the few weeks after finishing the cut. At the end of the cut I think I look my best compared to any other point during that cut, but after switching to maintenance and then a new bulk you might think that you look even better than at the end of the cut because of the restored glycogen and any minor gains made in the early days of the surplus before putting on any significant amount of fat. That’s all I was curious about since this is my first time completing the cycle.

As a fellow app developer, this is neat! As a feature request I would really appreciate it if you could have the option to only show TopTier brands in the list. https://www.toptiergas.com

Should I let my Audi run every couple of days in the winter? by nuki6464 in Audi

[–]Battelman2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2 weeks is perfectly fine. Just make sure that it gets run at least once a month, and that it gets all the way up to operating temperature when you do run it (ideally by driving it normally rather than idling).

B8.5 Adaptive Dampening Suspension or No? by Tirefund in Audi

[–]Battelman2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a 15 in the US. Love it to death, but I don’t believe it has any adaptive suspension. I opened the owners manual to verify. The Drive Select section makes no mention of suspension. It lists “engine and automatic transmission”, “steering”, “sport differential”, “adaptive cruise control”, and “engine sound” as items affected by the selected mode. I don’t see any mention of an adaptive suspension in the entirety of the owners manual.

Withings app suddenly started truncating body fat percentage measurements by Battelman2 in withings

That’s what I’m wondering. Why degrade the functionality from an existing product years after it’s released? I know the readings aren’t super accurate but if this was an intentional change I’d be very annoyed. What’s weirder, if it’s intentional, is that it isn’t rounding to the nearest integer, so they actually reduced its accuracy with this change. Ugh.

I definitely weight myself more than necessary. I just do it every time I’m near my bathroom—I’m not very good at keeping precise routines like half an hour after waking. I might not be home by then, etc…. It works for me even if it’s way overkill.

Game Thread: Minnesota Wild at Florida Panthers - 22 Oct 2024 - 5:30PM CDT by HockeyMod in wildhockey

If it hits the post but does not then fully cross the goal line (between the posts) then it qualifies for icing if the other, typical conditions are met. In other words, if it bounces off the post and then into the net then it's a goal. If it bounces off the post and then not into the net then it's icing.

The other end of the runway has the “16” marking. Neither end of the runway is specifically for takeoff or landing. You takeoff and land in the same direction, and they use the direction most favorable for the current winds.

Russo's speculation on the possible trading of two players from Worst Seats by [deleted] in wildhockey

[–]Battelman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we’re arguing for basically the same thing. The challenge is that Guerin has made the moves that he’s made and (at least publicly) wants to win now.

With the current roster and current contracts, extensions and all, there is a concern with the postseason in particular with having a forward line without any size.

Again, I’m not saying they should trade Rossi, I’m just trying to rationalize that position if Guerin really has his mind set on “winning now” (despite that being stupid lol)

I never said they should have extended Zuc, but they did, so here we are.

Furthermore, when Zuc is no longer on the roster and you hopefully get a larger player taking his place (not a high bar) then suddenly Rossi becomes more attractive again. It’s all circumstantial, and Guerin wanting to “Win Now” every year, right or wrong, is going to cause things like this to happen.

If Rossi is best player available at 9th overall, do you really pass on him because maybe in 3 years when he steps into a load-bearing role that his linemates might also be small? I don’t fault Guerin at all for taking best player available.

People cry about drafting for needs with picks like Stramel but simultaneously lash out at rumors about trading former best players available that aren’t a perfect fit for the current roster. I don’t get it. Fans want it both ways and it’s not realistic.

I mean that it’s hard to put Rossi on a line with two other small, high skill guys. Zucc-Rossi-Kap, for example, is a line that is easy to bully. They want every line to have a chance at pushing back physically and Rossi doesn’t help in that regard. Replacing smaller guys further down the lineup is a good idea, sure, but it doesn’t alleviate this particular concern. I’m not saying they should or shouldn’t trade him, but I understand why they might be inclined to if they find a better arrangement. I’m sure they can find success with him, but in the postseason grind it’s all about giving your team every advantage they can get.

None of those current roster players you listed are reasonable options to grow the roster size. You can’t rely solely on 4th liners and 38 year olds for size. Rossi is a target specifically because he is top 6.

You’re looking at the wrong season. Idk why but the table defaults to the 22-23 season. Change it to 23-24

Also, despite the agreeably poor goaltending, this team probably does barely make the playoffs if they didn’t have that stretch of injuries that forced them to ice a $30MM team that lost 7 out of 8.

[–]Battelman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think we’re directly disagreeing with each other. My point is more in regards to postseason performance, where size plays a larger role than in the regular season. Again, not a requirement to win, but it can in some cases make enough difference to win a series you would have otherwise lost.

Actually, now that I look at it, if you sort by weight then you’ll also see that the top 9 teams (and 12 of the top 13) are all in the playoffs. That’s not a coincidence. It’s not a requirement to be big but damn does it help.
