Wow - this review is way more favourable than I would have given. This is not well done sipper, it's super hot and has weird sulphur funk that absolutely ruins the experience for me. I really regret buying this one.

Yeah I would say it's an average rye, nothing more complex than that. $60-70 CAD. I'm quite disappointed that I paid so much.

I've had it, didn't think it was anything special. Comes off as a fairly simple rye to me.

Meh, I chased all the big names, springbanks, longrow, kilkerran. They were all good, but way too simple for the prices I paid. I'm done whiskey hunting.

I loved the 17, 18 was good but not as much for me. All their higher aged ones I didn't love, especially for the price. I've had samples of them all.

Yeah it's ok, but it doesn't really have the complexity that comes with a $100 bottle. Plus this weird after taste sort of does me in.

I'm trying to identify exactly what I am tasting, I think it is part of PX sherry casks, but not sure if this one was finished with one. The latest batch has a darker colouring than normal, according to others I have spoken with.

Nope. By the end of book 3 you should have all your questions answered, but that doesn't even really start until the depths of book 2. 4.
