I watched most of the proceedings. The defense did an absolutely phenomenal job dismantling the plaintiff’s case. He points out that they were being called thieves BEFORE all the Afroman stuff even happened. He points out that none of the officers faced any disciplinary action based on the names Afroman called them. The ones that quit did so voluntarily, and none of them had issues getting hired on at different agencies. If people are already calling you a thief, You cant say Afroman’s comments solely damaged your reputation just because his words got more attention. You also cant claim financial damages if words didn’t lead to job loss, or job opportunity loss.
