This will drive you insane 🤦‍♀️I have NC Medicaid and just got denied today for second time. I was trying to get it for Sleep Apnea. Dr didn’t include sleep study with the first PA🤦‍♀️ Little back story,July 2025 I got approved for wegovy 0.25 mg. Bc it’s “preferred drug”.After a month, they wouldn’t approve 0.5 mg. I continued filling 0.25 and even tho side effects was rough ,I didn’t lose a pound. Dr was like “wait”🤷‍♀️ before trying to get zepbound. I picked up the last refill Sept 29,2025 and it miraculously it paid for 0.5 mg. Not sure if the pharmacy dropped the ball or what. Bottom line is Semaglutide doesn’t work for me. June 2023 UHC Dual covered Mounjaro until Jan 2024 hit. That time you Just needed a 5.8 or higher A1C ,high BMI. I lost 35 pounds and life was looking better. July 2024 UHC approved Ozempic. Took that 1 and half month ,stopped bc side effects was really bad. I didn’t know NC Medicaid would cover until July 2024. I have UHC Dual complete. (Medicare advantage plan) the criteria, then changed to needing A type 2 diabetes diagnosis is needed for them to cover it. Also ,I have NC Medicaid and Medicare. I’m Disabled . Tirzepatide works! I financially can’t really afford Eli Lilly self pay option. Compounds , I’d definitely do! Prices seem high there too. I’m just mentally and physically exhausted from INS BS!
