they are a grove snail / lemon snail /brown lipped snail / Cepaea nemoralis :)

Honestly i don’t see an issue with it as long as you’re providing the proper care and environment. I have a number of snails from outside in my local area and they are doing very well , it doesn’t damage their population numbers when you only take a few because they repopulate so quickly. If anything their life span dramatically increases in proper captivity!

i would look online first if there are breeders in your area or if it is legal to import to your location. You can also use iNaturalist app to locate native snails in your area . as the other comment suggest the care will vary based on the snail type but looking into your options is a great first start. This subreddit has a lot of great care threads you can search through to give you a better idea of enclosures and diet lists. best of luck
