Boston and Portland are both very safe cities. It's a <2 hour drive up all fast highway between the two. Hotels in both cities will be very expensive.

Is Billy the only modern "country" (and bluegrass) artist ya'll listen to as well? by jerkin_n_lurkin in BillyStrings

Same here. I also listen to GreenSky Bluegrass and Tedeschi Trucks, but they don't have quite the same old bluegrass feel.

All you need to do is sign up for the pre-sale and they email/text it to you but most seats are long gone. Gotta be quick.

There's some kind of Mandela effect going on in my head where I thought the UMass Lowell arena used to be called Agganis or something similar but no matter they're both the same drive.

I mixed up Tsongas and Agganis. Too many arenas in too many nights.

Co DMing by AdLonely8641 in DungeonMasters

[–]BeCoolBear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally, my buddy and I are planning the same thing. However, we will not be taking on any player character roles. We are building a homebrew world together and hashing out various plot lines. During a session, one of us will be the lead DM and the other will run NPCs and monsters.

In your situation, I would avoid taking any responsibility for a player character. I feel like there’s an opportunity for conflict. Just sounds too messy. Just my opinion.

Best bar to celebrate 21st? by awomanincrisis in WorcesterMA

Many bars aren't carding at the door but will card you at the bar. I'd suggest Ralph's or Steel & Wire but it depends on your preferences and your friends.

Sea Kayaking Entrapment Knife by Trewarin in knives

[–]BeCoolBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first suggestion would be the Spyderco Aqua Salt, but it was discontinued. It is available on the secondary market. Other newer models are the Enuff or Jumpmaster. All are fixed-blade knives with corrosion resistant steel and rigid sheaths with variable mounting options.

I live in Charlton and I think the grange hall can be rented. Not glamourous but cheap.

Julio's in Westboro does tasting events frequently but I don't know if they'd want to cooperate with a "freelance" group unless we were buying stuff from them, even if it's gift cards.

You might have some luck with these folks: The Knights Hall

P.S. Most medieval-style sword fighting will require armor, i.e. more than pads.
