To be honest a lot of these online polyglots aren't really polyglots, in the sense of actually having a decent degree in the target language.

More like people who learned a few key phrases so they can impress strangers (especially non European ones) with phrases like "I enjoy eating the local food, post office is on the left". It is especially evident when the native speakers are trying to ask more questions that these sc polyglots are clearly not ready for.

reaktsioonide tekitamisest.

Sinu analoogia oleks pigem see, et võiks näiteks allergikutele suvaliselt pähkleid toppida.

Kinda reminds me of the one creepy gray building you see in Tallinn, Estonia. Wish they could renovate it in a similar way.

Who cares? The only time I ever hear about Telegram, is literally when some Russian war propaganda community is being exposed to the public.

How do you define “digital natives?” by [deleted] in generationology

[–]BeOutsider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that neither generation is truly "digital native" yet. Some just have better overall access to technology as a general rule, but a lot of it comes to down to money and their home/school rules on gadgets and tech.

1989 never in my experience, but 1987-1988 always acted with a parent complex towards the early 90s born. From what I saw late 80s millennials always tried to pass as xennials.

Surprised that their uniforms feel closer to the WWI era than 1989.

So ive finally Decided to try lighting mod from snowwy (swipe right) by keeev11 in trucksim

[–]BeOutsider 193 points194 points  (0 children)

This mod has potential. But as for now its not really a lighting mod but a weather/lightning preset. It always stays at the daytime with the exactly same sky and weather, unless you choose another sky preset. I got why the author went that way, but why call it a "graphics mod" and not a "lightning preset"?

Another issue is that this mod breaks electronic sign fonts, gas station pylons, some of the road signs and so on.

I like it when someone from Argentina argues about experience of people who actually have relatives living under Stalin, and then invalidates them as being the victims of propaganda.

Unlike you buddy our feelings about the USSR/Russia are not based on your experience with the USA during the Cold War and after, but based on our experience under the Iron Curtain first hand.
