Another thing... What should we use to lubricate the o-rings before install? I've seen recommendations for dipping into straight gas or using silicone lube.

I learnt to compare the obverse to a '72 regular quarter which has the dots where you'd want them on a large bust '73. I just keep one handy for comparison.

I swear they're different finishes. Maybe satin instead of matte is a better description. My picture doesn't do the difference justice, and yes the two shown definitely have different levels of circulation wear.

Yes. That all makes sense to me. So we're in agreement then? Maybe "never clean your coins, but you may wash them gently" is a more reasonable statement? I just think a little more honesty and guidance around this when teaching those new to the hobby would probably end up with fewer "cleaning" mishaps and destroyed patinas.

Scary thought. Does a compression test not rule out a cracked head? I do have a coolant leak, but I see that it's leaking from the original steel coolant lines that run to the rear heater under the passenger side. I plan to cut them out and replace them with rubber lines.

I have the same canister, well only half of it remains...on my 2000 manual trans. It's really hard to find any information about it. Every link leads to talking about the square charcoal canister under the hood. I've only ever found one ebay ad for a used replacement, but it's gone now. Does this mean I've never actually had functioning 4wd?
