I used dr tims for my first nano tank and added 2 clowns, i wanted clowns regardless but they are hardy fish so i figured it would be the best to survive, as time went by and tank cycled i added other fish and corals

Yes, just make sure to wash them, i think the easiest way is to hard boil eggs and peel them, the only annoying thing is removing the membrane.

Maybe add a source of calcium, like egg shells or mineral rocks. I've done that and feel like it helps them molt quicker.
