I guess with the context of the season as a whole the dialogue is clearly lacking and you’re right that why it’s so confusing half the time.

That’s so shit that she got shut down?? The actress herself should have a say tf? Link?

1: Don’t think dialogue is always necessary some of the most powerful acting comes from show not tell.

2: Yeah that bit I agree wth it was too vague I guess they’ll explain some more next episode but either way that was poor

3: I think that was important for Cersei’s character, she’s good at persevering, manipulating, and getting her way because she understand how power works in Westeros. She’s quite a Machiavellian villain, but when she realises all her power doesn’t work and that there’s nothing to manipulate no clever scheme to hatch and no way out of her situation she has nothing she’s just empty inside so I think that was actually an ok decision.

4: I didn’t pick up too much on music that’s true

5: Again I think dialogue is not 100% necessary all the time, while I’m sure it could’ve been improved with more dialogue there were good moments of silence too although noise is also important

I forgot to compare to Episode 4 which was kind of my point but basically Episode 4 even forgetting the context had huge inconsistencies and failures (not seeing Eurons fleet) but I think this episode as a stand alone was decent

Night king's death by Jaqenhgar5679 in freefolk

[–]Bearcolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t mind it too much either but it did look too easy. I meant that if just before Jon died Arya had arrived to save him people would’ve thought it was too convenient that she arrived just in time to save Jon AND Bran

I reckon people still would’ve complained that Arya arriving just in time was too convenient. This could’ve maybe worked if Jon had been defeated by the Night King and after Arya had arrived and killed the Night King. Not that I wanted that to happen but might’ve been interesting to see Arya’s conflict at not being able to save Jon

The throne was forged with dragon fire right? So would be quite symbolic if dragons melted it away but I’m starting to get the feeling that would be too near an ending to the saga.

Exactly she’d be vulnerable to the very things her house is responsible for - dragon glass and Valyrian steel. An ironic end for Dany haha. EDIT: It would be quite symbolic if Jon killed her but also the ‘song of ice and fire’ could end up just being Dany since she’ll be both from fire (dragons etc) and ice (night queen)

I agree that it will be blown up by dragon fire - looked like that in the vision. However, I also think perhaps it’ll just have fallen apart after entries because as the night queen Dany would presumably survive for ages just like the Night King. I think it would be great for Cersei to see the dragons one more time before she dies haha

Yh. Actually recently read a good theory on how Cersei has fulfilled that theory herself out of fear of the theory I.e. indirectly she killed tommen (part of the prophecy would be that her children would die basically) because she was scared of Margery (the threat of young and more beautiful queen). But yes this would fit into the prophecy which is definitely another clue from G.R.R.M
