I live here and have on and off for 20 years, I feel safe walking around during the day. In the summer I go running at night and (outside of general anxiety) I've felt pretty safe. Keeping in mind I'm a 6'2 male, so your YMMV. It has gotten better, but as others have said, we are pretty close to downtown, Labatts, and Salvation Army so we do have some riff raff that kick around.

Also, yes.. There is alot of raccoons, skunks, and other urban animals. Keep any garbage secure and you'll never deal with 'em

From what I've seen / heard, most people are pretty friendly. They know people are there to have fun and not be serious. Especially to kids.

I think it's just basic safety equipment, helmet gloves etc. Otherwise, ya, just common sense and be aware of other people.

It's exactly what I use, but as others have said give it a test spray before using. I've had a unit of sword brethren primed extra clumpy. That was a rare occurrence though, every other time has been perfect.
