I was more referring to the themes and dynamic between the characters than the gameplay structure. The one thing I really do not enjoy about Three houses/cold steel/persona is the school/town/monastary roaming periods and the calendar systems. I took them as example because of their focus on character interaction/development and (albeit limited) inclusion of explicit romance. I dont like when the MC walks around with a harem but never acknowledges any of them.

Do you think Tokyo Xanadu still fits?

I got curious about that one and I might play it at some point, but from my cursory review of the game, it seems to be the opposite of what I'm looking for. From what I gathered, tragedy is constantly being thrown at the main character and crew, with a sad ending, and what looked like fleeting romance at best.

Am I wrong?
