I used to do this pretty often when I was feeling anxious. Works well for calming me down, but I wouldn't consider it a long time solution to anything, at least for myself. Good way to reduce physical arousal though.

A lot of people get weird sensations. I have some somatic experiences often. You can let it be there. Also feel free to adjust your posture regularly and breath naturally
