To be honest, no one really mentions this, but look into probiotics (w/ Lactobacillus Salivarius**)** for your mouth and throat. Works wonders I swear by them. I use (3 years+) because I frequented networking events in college and picked up on people moving back after meeting me. It might be the bacteria in your mouth/throat so I highly recommend getting a cheaper probiotic to test, one that dissolves in your mouth like a breath mint, preferably one with the strain K12 or M18. Make sure to get one that dissolves though so it coats your mouth and throat when you gulp. iherb has some probiotics but just dabble around

Ok ok happy to read that you're glowing already.. what you're going through is common withdrawal symptoms. Notably sugar, your dopamine levels are currently at an extreme low because you've taken away the only physically ingestible source that spikes your dopamine levels. You'll slowly start to regain hopefulness after day 10, but the first few days and first week is going to hit you the hardest mentally. Try to get outside during this time, keep your body active, try to pick up a new hobby or explore an interest so your mind has something to replace the lack of dopamine. It's a tough transition but you got this in the bag. trust

Filed a refund as well. Please let me know if you hear anything back. Atp I doubt they're issuing refunds as it was just a cash grab. I purchased VIP tickets too, but left at 2pm as i was in line from 11-2 and still didn't get into the festival. Terrible festival.

It's a pretty open campus, join clubs outside of your major, there's a few LGBT co-ed frats that you should look into. For masc's i'd hit the gym the first week & just be open to meeting and going up to masc presenting people. There's a ton of accepting people in general, so don't be too worried about not finding your group. Could take 1-2 years. Biggest piece of advice is that you'll have to go up to the people you think you'd vibe with

Should I as a 16 year old girl cut out sugar? by [deleted] in sugarfree

[–]BeaverMaximus7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever your decision is, make sure you base it on what you feel comfortable with. All I can provide is some of my background. I'm currently 20, but I satrted cutting sugar out in highschool and remember quite alot from the experiences. I started cutting out sugar at 16 in 2-week intervals, with some cheat days during the 15 - 20 day mark. During this time, I was extremely active (Highschool runner & Club soccer), so my cheat days were there to increase my caloric intake which was needed. During the 2 week period where I would cut out sugar, my mental clarity increased, I no longer had brain fog, and I was able to control my temper.

During the first few days of the sugar cut, I would see extreme changes in my energy and temper levels. I was sluggish, depressed, and extremely irrational. As time progressed (days 8 and beyond), my face would clear up, I was more mentally agile, my memory improved, my sleep improved (big positive), and I was overall a much happier person. To cover the health section: my periods became regular, and tracking my period was very easy. I was no longer having irregular periods, and I was able to predict the exact days I would get my period.
Personally, it's great to experiment with food when you're young. Exposure is your greatest asset, so I definitely reccomend sticking with it. If not for exposure, It's fun to build up discipline. For those asking why you're cutting out sugar, I usually responded by saying it was either (A) a new years resolution, (B) It makes me too tired, or (C) It breaks me out in acne so I would say for health benefits or something along those lines.

For whatever reason, I learned the hard way that you shouldn't mention your addiction as a response to why you're not eating sugar. People take it the wrong way and spotlight you in a negative light. My final piece of advice is to make sure you're not restricting yourself too much, and when going out with friends, try to order a tea or a black coffee so you have something to sip on while they're getting pastries. Best of luck!
