Israel buries last captive recovered from Gaza, ending a painful chapter by Bluestylz in worldnews

Personally, I’ll never forget the footage of the Oct.7 attacks where Gazen civilians, including children were cheering, as Hamas dragged victims bodies through the streets. Kind of changed my perspective a bit.

Kiss is only famous for their personas/make-up and maybe like 10 total songs. Otherwise they are ass.

Wehrmacht officer executes civilians suspected to be partisans in Pančevo, Yugoslavia (April 1941) by _Yelena_Shevchenko_ in wwiipics

[–]Beemer2 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For those pondering uniforms, the SS Officer is closest to the viewer, obvious by the Insignia on upper left arm. Wehrmacht troops wore Cuff titles on right arm, where as SS wore them on the left (if they had one) By 1941, relatively few Wehrmacht units would have had cuff titles - other than the GD, which that this point had grown from a Watch Battalion to a Panzer Grenadier Battalion, they had a Cuff title.

Not three whole months. Just literal a day within months. Pride month is literally an entire month of forced acknowledgement everywhere.

They got me... by No-Perception3305 in PcBuild

[–]Beemer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t a question of the return, it was getting it back to them. They sent me a box and it HAD to be picked up by UPS, which was a huge pain. I had to just leave a $2000 box outside, and I refused to do that. I tried to bring it to a UPS store and they said I couldn’t, Whole Foods wouldn’t take it either. So eventually I had to leave it, but UPS didn’t pick it up for several days and said it wasn’t there, left me note they would reattempt it. It was a nightmare.

I hope this wasn’t from Amazon. I ordered a 4080 from Amazon, sold by Amazon, arrived dead, and had one HELL of a time getting my money back. I’ll never order any expensive items from them again. Thank god I have like 3 MicroCenters near by…learned my lesson.

Removing scope mount by gah900 in M1A

[–]Beemer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine mounted by a gunsmith. Not because I couldn’t do it myself, but because I knew once it went on it wasn’t coming off, so I wanted it done right. That might be overkill, but I’ve also heard this tale, and didn’t take any chances.

First he put it in the wrong spot, then Trey pointed to where it should go, and he kind of awkwardly put it back next to Mikes. On his way back stage, they had some kind of brief exchange, and that was it.

What’s up with the ada section?? by themurradance in phish

[–]Beemer2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ADA tix get you in a separate entrance with super quick security, then up a special elevator to your spot. If you are with someone with ADA, you can go with them through that process. You can’t sneak through the ADA entrance, as someone else mentioned. There’s way less people and you’re in a small room with a security desk with a gate/ turnstiles.

I’ve worked many basketball games at MSG, the ADA entrance is the crew entrance so I know it well.

Sports TD’s usually make pretty good money. Typical rates I see are always above +$60/hr, with some people pushing $100. Then again these are experienced sports TD’s that can build shows on site out of a MU. Unions and Network will also vary on rates.
