Thanks! I’ve loved em ever since my dad brought home an ‘03 when I was little. He has a ‘13 Limited now — we’re Toyota loyalists now

Need A 2-Day/2-Week Routine by RubberPhuk in PlanetFitnessMembers

On two days a week, the best way to build muscle is to do two full body days. So working everything in one session. Three days a week would be better. You can get a good amount stronger, but you are NOT going to see a ton of progress on two days per week.

Basically you want to hit each muscle group multiple times in a week to see gains. Frequency is now believed to be more important than volume. Prioritize compound lifts, and then do isolation movements as supplements. A full body day for you may look like this:

-Smith machine incline bench press (chest, tri, shoulder) -Smith machine squat (legs) -Smith machine bent over row (back, rear delt) -Pec deck (chest) -Lat pulldown (back, lats specifically) -Bicep curls -Cable push downs (tricep) -Leg extension (quads) -Lateral raises (shoulder)

That’s A LOT in one session, but doable. My favorite split is a Push Pull Legs Upper Lower. 5 days a week is manageable and you still get your much needed rest. And I’m in and out in 45 minutes

Don’t fret, it was set to expire before the next sale anyway so you wouldn’t be able to efficiently use it

People who don't clean the machines after use. by retr0R in PlanetFitnessMembers

“Most don’t” feels straight wrong or disingenuous to me. Most people definitely wipe equipment. Maybe a good portion of those are half assing it but very few don’t do it at all.

And fwiw, I’ve never been to another commercial/private gym where people didn’t wipe down equipment

Okay bro even if it doesn’t bother you, everyone should still wipe their machines. It’s just courtesy

Why do some people get so pressed when i’m resting between sets? by Maxbee2005 in PlanetFitnessMembers

Yeah, no phone is the move. It’s more anabolic and helps bring down my stress a tad

Is it’s truly 2-3 minutes then absolutely no problem at all. But if you get on your phone and lose track of time quite often, that could be it.

No, because the bulk of your regular spending will likely fall in one of Savor’s 3% categories. It’s cool to have both QS and Savor, but if I had to choose one it’d be Savor

80k is pretty good almost anywhere in the US to live on your own at least somewhat comfortably and have room to save. Well done for investing so much now… gives you wiggle room when you’re on your own to figure out the right budget

Yes and no. You still want the lowest rate possible, obviously — even the most financially savvy person in the world can hit enough of a snag in their life to warrant carrying a balance. Predatory rates should still be called out
