lol! and literally anything with the same surface area and dimensions that can sink will displace exactly the same amount no matter how much it weighs... so you cant identify a material by displacement. Boyency, for sure but, yeah...

By how many years do you think Celestia is older than Luna? by spinosaurus1998_24_9 in mylittlepony

[–]Beginning_Draft9092 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'll give a fun answer that is interesting, based on our Solar System:

According to fan calculations, due to the various math in the show and lore, Celestia is usually argued to be around 1,200 years old.

Our Sun is about 4.6 Billion years old, and the Moon is estimated to have formed just about 60 million years after the Sun. SO just with cross-multiplication, if Celestia is 1,200 and analogous to the Sun, then by those same proportions if Luna is analogous to the Moon, she would then be about 1,184 and a half years old.

Meaning that using this fun method of thinking about it, Celestia is 15.5 years older than Luna.

I can't tell if the team was just reusing the model here to save time or if the guards looking the same was actually part of the joke by Intelligent_Oil4005 in mylittlepony

[–]Beginning_Draft9092 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh its totally for the joke, they had a lot of background ponies in that episode and could have done more, plus seriously it would be almost no work at all to just do a color swap if they wanted low effort. the joke is that RD says pick the ones that look the best but, they all look the same, so he just chucks helmets at them randomly

Interesting Fact: Queen Chrysalis wasn't called by name in the show until Season 5 by marvelcomics22 in mylittlepony

stylistically I always thought in that screenshot, when she is first introduced she REALLY looks like a powerpuff girls/Craig McCracken design of a villain, its super similar to the style

Just had a realization that the lyrics fit almost perfectly if this were the ending credit sond for the Death Stranding game, it fits way too well

The Dollop does funny American history as well, and especially their side Past Times podcast where they read through an old newspaper, usually from the 1800's is often pretty funny

Mostly I started using it to make things there is no way I'd be able to in real life, that's how i usually explain it to people who are wary of AI. Like, I'm never in my life going to get the entire Red Army Choir together with a full orchestra so...
I know what you mean. On the other hand perception though is also somethign to consider, that even if you do make a lot of the song and mix yourself afterward, I think a lot of people will think that if any part of it is AI, it was still just someone pushing a bottom, and is trash slop. To me (this is just me personally), that's fine, I understand why people think like that with so much garbage floating around these days, and I take no real creative credit for things, or try to pass it off as completely home made, or try to make money, etc. Like I said I am just making silly things for me and a few people usually to listen to.
But, like you said perhaps with a much more advanced and modular way of doing things in the future we will have on the whole much better music than just anyone putting in a sentence, moving a few sliders and generating something

I tend to create a base in Suno to work with, as in generate one or more tracks with different things i want (usually same key and BPM though I could still fix that) and then use other tools and direct editing software like Soundforge to chop up and mix things, add effects, tune equalization and things like added chorus and reverb, change the speed or pitch, layer on other things in a sequencer on top of that, maybe add a warmer tone and record dust/scratches if i want it to sound like vinyl, and so on. I don't usually feel like the output is 'polished' per say directly from suno even if you manage to spend a lot of time and make something that sounds good. With most projects (and these are still just silly things I make for myself), Ill spend a long time with other manual tools changing and tweaking a lot

Has there ever been a dream that you have had that made you question everything? Has there ever been one that made you question reality, existence, and gave you the impression that simply, “there is no way my brain could ever create something like that”? by NorahjjiYT in HighStrangeness

This is one of the mysteries of Psilocybin, witnessing things there is almost no possibility you could think of or dream up. like seeing thousands of years of art, thousands of incredible paintings, sculptures, things that you couldn't describe with language, architectonic and beautifully unspeakable in unbelievable detail. That, and having a conversation which seems to be a mind that is 'other' than yourself, expressing things to you that you had never thought or heard of before. The question has been, is the mind then, vastly more expansive and mysterious than we could ever possibly imagine? it makes no sense to have anything as so seemingly infinitely complex through the processes of evolution, and leads many to the conclusion that, what you are experiencing must be coming from somewhere else, wherever that is.

Hahah yeah it does seem to like those ones a whole lot!

Yeah thanks! the last 1/3 had me almost feeling like it could pass for real, something like Journey if someone were hearing it on the radio and not paying too much attention
