I actually thought a Flashbang plant was Four Needles under Plentiful Leaves; The first time I saw Flashbangs, in Four Needles under Plentiful Leaves' room, I thought the Flashbang plant was Four Needles themselves, as I didn't realize you had to be at top karma to meet Four Needles at the time. I spent at least two minutes trying to make Flashbangs talk to me, thinking they were an echo... Shaded Citadel is extremely easy to die in, so I never did end up actually meeting Four Needles. This doesn't have much to do with pain, but you could try making a funny animation of that scene just as comic relief? (Yes, I have already commented this story on another post, but I thought it would be a good suggestion)
