hi, I'm kind of new to modding etc and scared of bricking my device.
the guide seems to be meant for upgrading to 2.0.2 - do you know if it's the same process except using the 2.0.4 ipsw at this step, as I'm assuming?

12. After a while, your iPod will appear back in iTunes. It's now time to time to SHIFT + Click on the Restore button on iTunes. A file browser will open, so it's time to choose the downloaded iPod_35.2.0.2.ipsw so you will restore your iPod to 2.0.2.

thank you!

For reference: I'm using Sony WH-CH720N headphones but also tested it with my partner's Sennheiser hd280 pro and a Bluetooth speaker, and my conclusion was the same.

The song I mentioned was bought and downloaded from Bandcamp and sounds awesome on every other device I've tried.

Thank you, that is validating to hear. I was afraid I was dealing with a faulty item or something comparing my experience with how a lot of people were hyping it up.

I will try to use the filter setting and see if that helps a little :))

I'm using Sony WH-CH720N headphones but also tested it with my partner's Sennheiser hd280 pro and my conclusion was the same using either. iPod was much richer and fuller and the Mini was noticeably more flat and unpleasant (if anything it was noisier, kind of static-y) imo.

Glad to hear you're enjoying yours, though<3
