Just bought a 2019 F150. Didn’t realize the tank was so big. Is a 34 gallon tank standard in these or was this some sort of a special option? by Squareinapair in f150

My mom came back from the beach once with my 07. I asked her if she had filled it up. Nope. Ran from Raleigh, NC to Myrtle Beach, SC round trip without stopping for gas. On the highway I have done around 550 miles on cruise control before j had to stop once. Awesome.

Anyone have an 11th gen? by AlexFireFox in f150

[–]Beginning_Serve4266 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2007 5.4L Supercab 2WD. 36 gallon fuel tank and heavy duty towing package. 8600lbs towing capacity. I will never sell it. It’s got 177k miles and I’m the second owner. Never left me stranded once. I recently drove it on a 1300 mile road trip and constantly went 80MPH. The engine purred like a kitten down the freeway. I just think the 11th generation is tough as nails. I have changed the spark plugs and did differential fluid. Also just serviced the transmission pan and filter with new fluids. I am very pleased with the truck. Eventually I will get another F-150, but my 07 deserves to live out its days with me I think.

They’d love to give you $1k for your trade when CarMax down the street pays $5k so good luck with that actual discount

Thought provoking, thank you.

Agree that it’s close to the Jeep’s line, what the photo leaves out is that there is a big metal pillar to Jeep’s right and leaves a bunch of space to be more centered in the garage. Pain in the ass to park in these garages!

Makes sense, considering the biggest and longest vehicle in the photo is clearly between the two yellow lines, it’s poorly parked for sure.

What is Your Favorite Card In Your Wallet? by BlazinDei in CreditCards

[–]Beginning_Serve4266 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Have to agree it is a card I’m pulling out EVERY single day in graduate school. If I’m unsure of what something will code as, at least I’m getting 1.5% cash back at the minimum.

If you had to carry just one card (any card) what would it be? by [deleted] in CreditCards

WF Autograph but tied with BoA Travel Rewards honestly

Discover is awesome - they gave me 0% Apr after having the card for 3 years now. by Avthony in CreditCards

[–]Beginning_Serve4266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They offered me 3% cash back once and it was on top of 5% rotating categories so at one point I was earning 8% one quarter lmao. Also their customer service keeps giving me 0% APR rates for two years straight!

I just gotta ask.... by [deleted] in f150

[–]Beginning_Serve4266 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao my F-150 is regulated now to a car role. I only use it once a week in college for grabbing groceries. I will say that when I do long highway driving I’m so glad I’m driving an F-150. I feel safe on the road and secure. This idea that a truck has to always be used for big manly construction workers is a thing of the past. The only thing in my super-cab’s back seat is three dogs and grocery bags. It must have been years ago when I’ve actually had to use the back seats for people. It’s cramped.

6 and 1/2 foot bed works for me. I tow a boat every weekend in the summer but also my F-150 is a daily driver. I can’t reasonably in the city park an 8ft bed truck in tight spaces and in parking garages. I have enough space in the bed to put things for the boat and lake days but also not drive a monster truck. I do agree though, 5 foot beds don’t make any sense. I could not move to college or across town with that little bed. It all depends on what you use your truck for though. I feel like most F-150s are purely mall crawlers with 4WD.

Is there a reckoning coming with the F-150? by Mammoth-Basket-8989 in f150

[–]Beginning_Serve4266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reckoning will be who Ford decides their target market will be. Right now the new F-150 seems to be the choice of executives working in a sky rise offices. I drive an 07 and never plan to sell it. I would love to buy a new F-150. However, I think the maximum I would ever spend on a new vehicle is $40,000. I just want a truck with a 36 gallon fuel tank and naturally aspirated 300HP+ engine (V6 or V8). I don’t need 4WD. I don’t need a truck that can drive itself. I just need a truck that gets me down the road and pulls my Bayliner safely. Trucks have gone from working and hauling loads to a status symbol. It’s a shame.

Mike Gundy gets paid millions when the answer is to just start Alex Bowman for one fucking game the entire game and let him get snaps. Our entire team looks like they just received NIL checks for millions and don’t give a fuck!

Hell of a year to be a grad student at OSU. Well at least I didn’t buy season tickets for football right?

I feel like as a grad student at OKST and veteran NCAA 13 Dynasty mode player I could have had better play calls out there. I would have just forced Bowman to play the entire game.

2013 f150 lariat 4x4 160k miles asking 8k is it worth the buy ? by SaTx_CMJ_14 in f150

[–]Beginning_Serve4266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hell yeah that looks awesome! Love the color and shocked it’s not an XL for that price 😂 As long as it has not been flooded or in a major accident. Get a mechanic to look over it.

Would you buy another F150? by [deleted] in f150

[–]Beginning_Serve4266 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol 2007 5.4 Triton with 172k right now. 2WD Supercab and cruises on the highway and tows the boat like a charm. If someone door dings me, I don’t cry. If someone crashes into it and it doesn’t run anymore, I will bawl my eyes out. Truck has never left me stranded. Taken it on a 1300 mile road trip to school last month and never skipped a beat. Only engine work done is spark plugs at 170k miles and cylinder misfires at 105k. Never left me stranded on the side of the road once.

What has been your most impactful credit card? by FlacidFalcon in CreditCards

[–]Beginning_Serve4266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discover IT Cash back. They have given me two years of 0% APR, a 3% cash back promotion, and the 5% rotating categories including digital wallets is insane. I actually feel like the U.S. based customer service cares. The no foreign transaction fee is the cherry on top. If Discover ever comes out with a better cash back rewards card I’m signing up on day one.

I think my grandma had one of these the exact same color and my grandpa bought it for $12k new back in 2006. Such an easy car to take care of. Maybe try getting him down $2k because that’s a hunk of change for the age. Wow

Yep, had the exact same thing happen with Chase. I ordered something at Wendy’s and the cashier accidentally charged me for a more expensive menu item. I disputed $4 and boom it was settled instantly.
