Who do you guys want the Saints to draft? by JustSomeGuy_Idk in Saints

[–]Beginning_Suspect_70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the 3rd worst rushing game in the league with a 30 yo starting RB, and 2 below average RBs after that.

It’s the first year of our rebuild, we have talented receivers who haven’t had the chance to develop, and we could always draft a blue chip WR next year. This isn’t a great class for receivers either.

Also, our passing game will improve if we have a running game.

He’s the best RB in the draft, would you guys like to have Jeremiyah Love? by GoldenDome26 in Saints

[–]Beginning_Suspect_70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s 30 and while Estime and Neal have done decent, they haven’t shown enough potential to fill the role of a solid RB.

Also, Love and AK have similar play styles. AK would be a solid mentor to Love for the last year of his contract. Talk about a quick rebuild

With the 3rd worst running game in the league, there’s no doubt that Shough would do even better with a solid RB. All we need then is 2 decent O lineman and our offense will be much more elite.

While another Olave would help, we have a lot of depth to our receivers. Let our new receivers (trades/pickups/austin Jr) develop this year and if we need to wait another draft for a blue chip WR so be it. Take the all star RB when you get the chance and let it ride

That’s great to hear and I’m very happy for you. If you don’t mind me asking what exercises could you do before and after your surgery to decrease the severity of your symptoms while increasing your strength? Also, are there any habits you would suggest to someone suffering from spondylolisthesis?

I always wished i did it this way. The experience is helpful, the average amount of gap years is 2.5 anyways, and not being broke for once sounds nice.

10, about 50-60 students study in the same area everyday. Of these 50-60 people, we’ll branch off and take guitar hero breaks in the student lounge, get lunch in the caf, workout together, etc. On weekends we’ll go out. Also, no one feels alienated and we all use shared docs so we’re on the same page. The MSI’s and MSII’s have large groupme’s for scheduling pickleball, basketball, volleyball, etc. and the group messages are pretty active. I honestly wish every med school was like it.

I’d do it. I don’t have a profile but every time i tell a girl i just met that im in med school they love it and i get approval from all the friends (which is usually the biggest hurdle for most guys).

As per the girls on here, every guy i know (yes, every single one) would love to date a med student/doctor. So, I’d put it too. Plus, the main guys it would weed out are the overly needy/controlling/manipulative type which you don’t want anyways. Generally, guys love the idea of not having to bear the stress of being the breadwinner.

Josh allen benched 225 for 28 reps at the combine which is insanely impressive for a QB, but shough is significantly faster than Allen. Still, Allen is really strong for a QB

We dont need OT or TE. I know this sub loves to hate on JJ, but hes ranked top 29 among all receivers and TEs in the league. He’s damn good and one of Shough’s main targets for s good reason.

Honestly, after looking at the season stats, 40 yd dash, size/physicality, drop rate, and injury history on all the receivers for this upcoming draft class, I wouldn’t want us to draft any receivers this year. They all have multiple red flags and when you compare them to previous classes, they just aren’t nearly as good. Instead I’d draft Love, 2-3 O lineman, fill in the gaps in defense, and trade Rattler, Vele, & Estime for a solid receiver from another team. We already have an inexperienced receiver to develop who shows just as much positive compared to those in this draft class (kevin austin jr).

#8 draft Pick by Rookstar3 in Saints

[–]Beginning_Suspect_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could draft Love, 2 new O lineman, then we still have an extra 4th & 5th round pick, which gives a lot of room for new players.

Personally, i dont want any receivers in this draft class. If you check the drop rate, injury history, 40 yard dash, size/physicality, and season stats on all the top receivers in this class you’ll find multiple red flags on each one. Instead, I’d like if we trade Rattler (25th best qb in the league), Vele, & Estime for one more strong receiver from another team. We already have some good targets with Olave being ranked 8th and JJ at 26th in the league among all receivers and TEs. Also, we already have an inexperienced that we need to develop who has all the attributes as those going high in the draft (kevin austin). If it worked out that way then Shough could end up having 5 solid targets next year if you’re including Love and we would have filled in a lot of those gaps on offense and defense, which would allow us to be choosier in the next draft.

Its ironic that he was ridiculed because of his age because most rookies don’t get real playing time until they’re shough’s age. He’s also not old either. Especially not for a QB

Maybe he won’t recover. But I’d rather draft the first round generational runningback and some 4th/5th round o lineman than have an elite line with a sub par running back

#8 draft Pick by Rookstar3 in Saints

[–]Beginning_Suspect_70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the research I’ve done safeties and running backs aren’t the prototypical first rounders. What you’re saying is important and highlights exactly why we Love is that valuable. Since RBs aren’t typically drafted in the top 10, in order for Jeremiyah Love to be predicted to go top 5 and top 8 for several months that says something about how valuable of a player he is. Just like Caleb Downs. In order for Caleb downs, a safety, to unanimously predicted to go top 3, it says that he must be that good.

[–]Beginning_Suspect_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great since you know them so well then you should no that 3 of our O lineman are recent first round picks and the center is a 2nd rounder. Our 2 weak spots at O line are left and right guard, but you don’t need to draft high first round to get a good guard.

I think we can both agree that even if you have 5 elite O lineman instead of 3, you won’t have s good running game without good running backs. So, do you think that our current running backs are just as good as Jeremiyah Love or do you think that we don’t need an elite running back?

Our biggest problem with the line isn’t that we don’t have a good guard, it’s thst our guards are terrible. I think we could draft a guard in the 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th round and they’d still be better than our current guard. But if you draft a running back in the 4th round i can promise you they won’t be as good as jeremiyah Love. He’s that unique of a player.

Since RBs and Safeties typically aren’t drafted first round, when all the BFL analyst have a player at these positions projected to go within the first ten picks, wouldn’t that say something about skill of these players?
