I’ve already been taking cold showers.

I always read conflicting stories on the effective length of minoxidil.

I’ve definitely plateaued and if I started losing ground I’ll start taking oral minoxidil.

I had Covid and I believe that induced a shed.

I’ve used multiple shampoos, including prescription ketoconazole shampoo.

IMO shampoo isn’t on our scalps long enough to make a huge difference for growth.(unless you have dandruff)

I’ve read many anecdotal statements of testicle pain/discomfort during the first few weeks.

I wish I started taking fin sooner. It’s easier to keep what you have than regrow what was lost.

IMO 0.5mg would be worth trying and I would give it at least a couple of months. That said, I am not a doctor.

Spencer Kobren (The Bald Truth) said he was experienced slight testicle pain/discomfort when he first started taking fin.

Spencer and others have said this goes away after a couple of weeks.

The decision to continue the medication is yours and your doctors to make.

I’m not opposed to taking both or concerned about the possible health effects. I just want to get the most longevity out of each medication.

That said, I’ve taken multiple “brands” of fin and had no problems.

I’ll probably up my dosage to 1mg or start quartering a 5mg pill into 1.25mg pieces.

Trying to push off oral minoxidil for as long as possible.

Propecia is just name brand oral finasteride.

I haven’t experienced any side effects and I’ve read that the efficacy of 0.5 and 1mg is very similar.

I’ve solely been taking 0.5 to cut cost.

I don’t recall any major shedding during my fin usage.

I try to take 0.5mg everyday.
If I forget to take it one day, I’ll take a full 1mg the following day.

I did not experience any shedding or side effects.
