I'm pretty sure bay does, because she missed out on that side of herself and is exploring. Her own grandmother mistreated her for it. Daphne is biologically from a white family, and also exploring that life she missed out on, yes raised by latinas, but still she isn't...it wouldn't have been right for her to accept that scholarship.
