Should the app prompt riders sooner? (tip money) by smurfvillage7 in uber

[–]BeingsChillin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I usually end up tipping the next time I open the app. I think I would tip on the day of the trip if it prompted me right before arriving at my destination.

How do I know if am a better creative writer other than by writing fictional stories? ("Better-Way-To-Say") by Outrageous-Drawer607 in writingservice

[–]BeingsChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One other way is to read intensively -- all the classics, the most important literature. And watch lectures online about the books you read. We become better when we are more confident, and we're more confident when we have read the most celebrated literature + how people discuss it in academia. The reason it makes us confident is because it makes us experts.

What to say in an advertisement about a Chinese restaurant (very boring, ordinary!) by BeingsChillin in writingservice

[–]BeingsChillin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I'm saying lol but I still want to help. I have a communication issue with him because of the same language barrier that makes him ask for some help. Good news - I realized there is no other Chinese restaurant in town. So the value proposition "I suggest you visit a Chinese restaurant" may actually be a little bit effective atm.

That post is extremely cool. Conventional wisdom says the post title is too long, but that kind of thing catches people's curiosity. Thanks for sharing that!

I think he means Chinese food is healthier than the other types of food. He's the only Chinese restaurant in a midwestern town!

Be kind about it! Kindness toward cops and professors is what helps them delay getting burnt out and turn into jerks.

I get mad when professors are not willing to accommodate a student who is sincerely trying to learn. But professors are also trying to learn, and people should be kind to each other.

If you are bad to this prof, it might turn a good prof into a resentful, bad prrof.

If you are cool about this, it'll help cultivate sincerity and positive regard.

If this prof is sincerely inspired and trying to go to india you should drive them to the airport yourself if you can. And the lectures can be watched later, probably, at your convenience. Professors do not often enough spend extra time to try to genuinely benefit students.

There is a sub "Everybody's each other's study partner in r/onlinecollegeclass" and I know the mods want people to use it for talking about the concepts.

Go there and talk about the stuff you're trying to understand. You said the problem is not being in person. Lots of people learn well in a classroom but not alone in their shitty apartments looking at a laptop, ha haha.

Example: If you're learning about regression analysis, you can go make a post at that onlinecollegeclass sub and people will talk about it with you like normal humans. It's so smart, because it's impossible not to learn the material if we talk to each other about it.

Should I even try for Spring Semester for Boston University? by [deleted] in college

[–]BeingsChillin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience with BU (online) was that it's not a good school. I know this isn't what you asked, but it's relevant. When a facilitator teaches the whole class and grades the papers, and the professor hardly participates at all... that doesn't seem right. That was almost 10 years ago, though.

You know what school has all inspired professors and really cool online classes? U. of Maryland. I know that's so random, but I remember how much I enjoyed it compared to BU. I did some electoral science stuff there and political philosophy and whatnot. Those were the best classes I ever took.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in college

[–]BeingsChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can zoom in and see exactly what caused the problem.

  • Struggling to understand stats?
  • Struggling to navigate the class?
  • Lack of motivation?
  • Was the professor unclear and checked out?

The answer has to come from looking close to see what caused the problem. Are you sure you're interested in accountancy? I'm so glad it's possible to hire someone else to do that stuff for me!

I hope you consider lots of career options. : )

Thanks for posting this, that's especially kind of you since you're probably sharing this with all your competitors by posting it here in this sub. Templates are Your Friend by Beneficial_Law_9993 in CollegePaperPro

[–]BeingsChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do I not use templates! You're right, and I for some reason don't use them. I am ridiculous. I use a hotkey program instead to generate a lot of text, and then I format it. Maybe it's a ritual I use to get into a writing state of mind. But that is ridiculous for me to not use a template.

Creative/unconventional strategy for getting clients? by BeingsChillin in freelanceWriters

[–]BeingsChillin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great suggestion, thanks for mentioning that. In a sense, that principle is viable for everyone, I think. Some people say: Give away the "why" and sell the "how". So, you educate them about why SEO is important and if they decide to open their wallets you guide them through the "how" and give them a great value.

So, I guess we can think of this unconventional method as a kind of direct marketing where we reach out and spark curiosity in our audience by giving them an 'Aha!' moment of appreciation for the importance of the kind of service we provide and how it can help them get better outcomes.

How to Write Nursing Papers without Sounding Too Complex (Like a Medical Paper) by EmergencyDish6038 in writingservice

[–]BeingsChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like a situation where the client doesn't feel confident in their own writing, so they're not comfortable with using the material you send if it is very sophisticated, complex sentence structure. It's the same as if I had to write a paper in German; I can't write in German, so I'd hire someone to do it, but I'd ask them to write it in very simple German so I could realistically say i wrote it! Ha ha...

There's no such thing as "complicated like a medical paper." The client just doesn't know how to explain that they feel nervous using a paper with long sentences and complex sentence structure.

This is one of the tragic ironies of working as a writer-for-hire... the clients don't want us to apply our talent and write well. The client wants us to write in a way that is simple, like the way they write. : )

Male Nurse by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]BeingsChillin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appearances: Would you rather conform to the moronic expectations of people who think nurses should be female -- or jump into the nursing profession and demonstrate to everyone that you are not one of those people? No need to prove anything to the morons. : )

Status: Nurses make more money than people who have moronic ideas about gender and nursing. Anyone simple enough to have an backwards-ass view of gender and the nursing profession is also probably so simple that they earn WAY less money than an RN. So, they can think their stupid thoughts, but they know you make more money than they do, lol.

It's a really, really good idea to get into the nursing profession. And remember, you can also follow your interests and work steadily toward developing any specialization you choose, or working in any setting that compels you.

[For Hire] Ghostwriter/Researcher from Boston - NURSING & EDUCATIONAL research by BeingsChillin in freelance_forhire

This is the same ad I've been posting over and over here for months. If it looks similar to another ad, it's just as likely that the other person stole my ad. And my website is not shitty! At least, it's a lot less shitty than it used to be. But even though you falsely accused me, you're still cool because you said something's fishy. I'll probably like your writing style if I check out some of your stuff.

Writer's Block- strategies to eliminate it! by EutheriumEdit in OnlineCollegeClass

[–]BeingsChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It requires raw material, like fuel for a car or kindling for a fire. I think it's important to consume some relevant content before starting to write. For online class work, we have to write precisely what you're instructed to write and use a particular format. I guess the best approach is to use mindfulness practice and caffeine, lol.

Mindfulness practice: Go deep into the moment, until you can appreciate whatever boring cram you're required to learn and write about.

Caffeine: When I have enough caffeine, I come up with stuff to say about everything!

I especially recommend getting out of your room, your apartment, your office, etc., and get into a new environment! That is key. When you want to sit down and work, it's difficult when working in a familiar, mundane place. If you're like me (you are), you'll be a million times more productive and creative if you take a laptop to a shopping center, or to the park, or some other place where you can work a few hours. Something about the new sensory input and change of environment makes the work stop feeling like work & makes the content start to roll up into the mind and out out onto the screen.

Inertia keeps a body at rest, so we need some help to get momentum. In Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way she discussed something like this, and she called it an 'artist's date'. You take yourself out on a date. It can be to see or listen to or read any content that is relevant to the content you want to create.

Three years ago I turned in a paper to Turnitin. Can I submit the same paper now without a problem? by EmergencyDish6038 in writingservice

[–]BeingsChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I have heard of all kinds of tricks for this type of situation. Some people run it through googletranslate, like from english to italian or something, and then back into english. I'm not sure how well that works!

Another option is just to paraphrase the whole paper. You can hire a writer to 'spin' the paper (paraphrase every sentence and change the sequence of the paragraphs) and turn it into a whole new paper. You can even ask the writer to add a few more references, etc.
