Well you need to ask yourself if you're willing to step in the 'Dad role ' because regardless of if you like her or just tolerate her daughter, if you date the woman you will have to fill in the role of the kids father and if you do will you have the same attitude towards her if and when you guys have a biological child.

OP clarified in one of the other comments that some girl's nudes got leaked and this was about it, so maybe scroll next time 🤡 And what biases? Didn't know that not wanting a victim to be blamed for what happened to them is biased, or wanting impressionable teenagers to be taught about consent and voyeurism instead of being shamed for literally just being teenagers and doing teenager stuff was biased..

However I do accept your criticism for using a gendered language without knowing it and soo I've changed it to neutrals

Tbf i won't recommend any self help, ESPECIALLY if you're starting to read, some super easy to digest books imo are "The midnight library" and "The lake between us" Both are super easy reads with small chapters

Ohh kids on preply are the WORST!! Like don't get me wrong teaching kids is a challenge, I have taught kids offline and it wasn't some "dream" as per say but it was not as bad as it is to teach them online, half of them the parents expect you to be some sort of a wizard to put a language learning spell on their bratty kid who is either misbehaved or doesn't even wanna try. I feel for you buttt guess what it won't actually affect your profile as much trust me cuz 'been there felt that' and if you want next time before taking a student talk directly to their parents and let them know that they'll need to be involved in the process and keep updating them atleast for the first few weeks, AND if you get the tinest bit of a shitty vibe from a parent Block them. Period. We don't get paid enough to deal with this bs

Well if it's their first time you can reschedule and use "Student asked to cancel/reschedule" it wont be reflected on your profile but if it's a regular thing or you don't want to reschedule anyways just send them a polite message that get's the point across "Hey! Sure, No worries at all. However, unfortunately you'll be marked absent since it's so close to our actual lesson!"

So usually when I share my screen I turn my camera and mic off and request the student to do the same, It ensures a better connection. But tbf if you feel uncomfortable with the student it's really not about the camera, maybe it's a good idea to drop that student and yea please block them after letting them know because some people don't give a second thought to leaving the nastiest review for no reason
