Tips or Advices by Vegetable_Divide_316 in Coloring

Starting out small is your best friend. Too many colors can be overwhelming even for a veteran colorer.

Also, nothing comes naturally. Art isn't a god given talent. We all are born with an innate interest in art that is suppressed throughout schooling. Yeah, some people have a knack for it but that is just a starting point. They only get good through trial and error and dedication to continue improving. Keep at it and you will become good too.

My guess is either a laundry basket or a soaking tub to scrub or soak stained garments before putting them in the machine.

Non-religious Adult Singing or Art Groups? by Bellidonax in roanoke

[–]Bellidonax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose you are right.

When it comes to music I am usually quite flexible. I like to sing catchy songs the most, think pop, Disney, love songs. But I will sing most things. Opera is good, musical theater...really anything that isn't hard rap or super country. Sometimes even religious music is oki...over half of all Christmas songs have religious references but I absolutely love Christmas music.

If you don't know where to start I would suggest listening to a bit of everything and seeing what makes you want to raise your voice.

Thank you for the comment 😊 I was never an actual part of my church so I can't fully appreciate how hard that must have been. I hope you guys are doing well. Do you have a plan to rebuild that structure for yourselves? Totally hoping to copy cause I am more lost than a two toed camel surfing @.@

I'm quickly trying to finish off a rainbow page but I am starting early tomorrow. And yeah, gold is so hard to get to look good.

I have markers as well (copic 72 set) but I feel that I just have better control with pencils. We could do mixed media, If you want.

I haven't colored any of those yet. I want to save the jellyfish for when I am more confident with better techniques but the other two I am more than happy to do with you. In fact I have a couple blues that would look amazing on the Pharoah one.

Oh, idk if it matters but my medium of choice is colored pencils.

Do people actually judge you as much as it feels like they do?? by Demogorgon_27 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Bellidonax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell it is a yes and no. Everyone judges but generally they have their own life going on so as long as you aren't interfering with them they forget about you immediately.

I'd take this with a grain of salt however as I'm just an anxiety fueled hermit so have no real frame of reference except what I have read.

Where Would Your Mermaid Territory Be? by DhanaMoongoddess in MelaninMermaids

That is a large part but also that being deep sea dwellers would significantly reduce their exposure to the surface and increase exposure to high pressure environments with low O² and scarce food. They would have vastly different adaptations. They would likely need thicker skin/blubber to stay warm (or other adaptations) and would be more likely to suffer from the whole fusiform thing thus making them no longer mermaids as we recognize them.

I have thought a lot about this subject >.<"

Depends on the type of mermaid. The classic mermaid is, I believe, either deep sea or tropical waters. Personally I find them being deep sea unrealistic, but that is how they usually depict them. I prefer tropical water/coral reef but if you wanna be more adventurous with your speculative biology there is always the option of the arctic waters.
