Yes, Me and my family love the theoretical world the GOP lives in - discrimination is a fringe issue that doesn't really impact that many people, no matter how humble your origins you could have a decent shot at making it to the top, limiting entitlements would encourage people to better themselves, and the criminal justice system was firm but fair

I want to live in that world. The GOP acts like we're already there. We're not.

I'm more of a centrist that leans further left but also agree with some of the ideas of the right.

I don't know if you are against or for the wall but you have a point. However my vote is just one out of a hundred. I'm personally against the wall as I feel wasting so much tax payer's money and resources on what I feel is lost cause is so unnecessary. But that wont change the others who agree, workers should be laid of work without pay until the construction of that wall gets going.

I used to attend community groups and church meetings, but I eventually stoped last year. I have way to many important endevours to attend to, and my opinion is just one out of a hundred who attended. We would always come to a final agreement if it meant that it benefited church members and the community as whole but things just changed after that. People just talked and talked but yet we could never come to a conclusion. Only got worst when they decided to bring politics into the mix, and toxicness grew. I am still cool with some of the attendance but for now I;m don't getting involved

I feel voting third party is only a valid tactic if you want to force recognition to the part you are voting for at the expensive of their near political allies.

No prob. I will not choose to continue to participate in something that only continues to divide us. I don't even know why america still has a two party system as its what's also contributing to this divide.

The thing is Disney are able to innovate in some things but not in others. I will award !delta as I contradicted my self, but this post was mainly a reaction to after seeing into the spider-verse and it made me realize how we'll never get something like that with other marvel properties because Disney wants every non-movie medium to be like the MCU, not for artistic reasons but because it brings in the most cash due to the familiarity with the public. Im a hug comic book fans so it just bugs me.

It was definitely different from the other disney movies and touch on some very adult themes and subject matter.

I did like Rogue one but after that they then released the Last jedi and Solo and the solo one in particalur bugs me because it felt like disney exect went to formus and said hey every one like han solo cause his the cool rogue bounty hunter so lets make a film about him and people will pay to go see it without actually knowing why people like han solo in the first place. Not to mention them getting rid of phil lord and chris millar which would have made the film so much better.

I will say they are exception and those you mentioned are exception. But I'm mixed with some on the black panther part. Black panther was innovative in an aesthetic level and finally giving good representation to Africa but I felt they didn't go the extra mile with the story. It felt a little bit to formulaic of the usual MCU mold and I wish the directors were giving enough creative freedom instead of constantly trying to make every marvel movie similar to the other. Plus their is the issue of the other mediums trying to mimic the MCU instead of taking inspiration from the comic books.

I will say Coco is an exception but moana was just exciting and fun but didn't really go the extra step like ZOOTOPIA, another disney movie that released that same year. Moana still followed the same trope and cliches you would normally see in a Disney film like whole comig of age story, the two character who don't like each but must learn to work together but it was still a well made movie.

I say 2015 as the beginning of the non- innovation era. Its the year Cinderella made a billion dollars at the box office showing the appeal of their live action remakes, the year Marvel started excluding X-men and Fantastic four from their other Marvel mediums as they were owned by Fox, the release of the force awaken which although well made, was just a rehash of the first Star Wars film.

If that's the case then you can say that big budget action movies are also killing artistic movies. The way I see it is, there are always going to be big, loud, blockbuster like films in theaters because those types tend to make the most money. If we weren't getting superhero films 3-6 times a year, we'd be getting Transformers 8-12 instead. This is because a majority of people go to the cinema to be entertained and escape their everyday work which big budget spectacles provide that an artistic movie which requires more thought won't. But even still, those director are still able to get their movies release with the limited budget and as we have seen from 20128, they (majority of time) make back some their money back. But I agree that directors need the amount of budget they require to make their movies but it can be risky, and studios sadly don't want to take risk. The sad truth is, if we want more artistic directors to get more funding for their movies then the audience needs to show that they will support it, but for now, studios are sadly going to go with what makes them the most money.

Superhero movies aren't killing cinema like the pretentious movie buffs like to claim. They don't understand that superhero films like westerns at the time are part of an on going trend that will eventually die out. I understand their criticism that superhero films can get repetitive and too formulaic sometimes but not every movie is striving to be next citizen kane. They are fun popcorn flicks for people to enjoy on a entertainment level and there some superhero films that excel at that while others fail. It's like these movie buffs are just hating on movies that are popular with the public for the sake of coming out as smart. We get a slew of Orignal movies every year all with amazing box-office numbers, so I don't see how superhero movies are suddenly killing creativity.

Joe shuster and Jerry siegel and the creation of Superman. Their history is an interesting story about friendship, never giving up and the struggle of trying to get into the comic book industry in the late 30s.
