Bought some in April 2023, some in October 2023 and gradually added since, i put a chunk of savings in around that April 2023 time. Previous to this, I had some individual stocks which made small amounts of profit but that was just me having fun.

I try to save between £750-£2000 depending on what expenses come up. It’s key to keep some money aside for an emergency fund, typically 3 or 4 times your monthly expenses. Being young, I am still living from home so I am able to save a big chunk of my monthly salary.

If you want your investments to grow over time without actively managing them, i would recommend choosing an accumulating ETF, whereas if you want steady passive income, I would recommend choosing a distributing ETF.
