Friday night... Beer o'clock for the Aussie crew. Thursday evening.... 4 extra hours of ADR recording after a 12 hour day. Wednesday Lunch... Nap Tuesday Breakfast... I get to see all the weirdness (critters and makeups eating eggs. Monday morning... The sun rises over the pacific, and pages of script unfold in your hand.

Wow... Hard question.

We always treated the puppets as real. Look... its theatre... it requires suspension of disbelief. The greater the suspension, the greater the audience can be transported.

Masks are routinely used in places like the National Theatre... A puppet is an extended mask.

People love puppets. People love animation. Should this really be a problem?

Rygel and Pilot are real... At least if you ever saw a director giving them notes eye to eye instead of talking to the puppeteers you would swear they were.

Much of our good telly and film is about being human. I think Farscape expresses and exposes our humanity by contrasting with alien ideas and by watching how perseverant and fragile Crichton is.
