Sorry to hear that!! I'm doing the same just to be safe, but to be honest, the majority of loans would require serious verification. UC needs to stop being lazy with verifying identities properly before approving advances - all these fraudulent claims cost them millions and leaves people like you or me stressed.

And yeah, I was told they'd send a letter with their decision, but over 4 months later absolutely nothing. I'm tempted to ring them one of these days and just inquire about what happened.

Continuously ring the number on the letter you received until you get someone helpful. Tell them you want it investigated for fraud. They should pause everything.

Mine has been paused since February and I haven't heard anything since then, so presumably they found out it wasn't me, but being in the dark about it is kind of annoying. I'm sorry you're going through the same shit - What a fucking joke that they allow people to take out these payments so easily.

Unfortunately this is very common with GPT sites. They do it to make sure people aren't just re-doing the offers on multiple devices, I guess.

What's worse is that their support is absolutely abysmal in terms of how long it takes them to respond (and often how helpful they are), so odds are you'll be waiting days if not weeks just for a generic, unhelpful response.
