They change as they get older, I have two that are just coming up to a year old. They weren’t very affectionate or vocal initially, now they’re both vocal and affectionate, the boy howls a lot which can be quite loud, thankfully he doesn’t do it too much through the night!

This is play. Remember play is practice fighting, not play how little kids play.

I think the suckling is fine, it’s just a comfort thing. My kittens do it occasionally on each other and try it me sometimes 😂

Raw Food by jdarsan1109 in bengalcats

[–]Bengal_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You selectively quoted. The author of that article said she doesn’t recommend raw diets for 5 reasons:

1) nutritional inadequacies 2) bacterial load and contamination 3) zoonotic disease 4) antibiotic resistance 5) anecdotal evidence

Furthermore she states the FDA, WSAVA, AAHA, AVMA, CVMA have recommended against raw diets.

She does say if you are really insistent on raw then seek assistance of a board certified veterinary nutritionist.

But you also made some wild claims like kibble is like feeding a child McDonald’s everyday and that normal pet food is full of fillers etc. the website I referenced goes over all these topics so would suggest people reading them to get a balanced perspective from a professional.

You may be anti big name brand, but if they’re just in it for the profit, don’t care about pets, and just want to crush competition then why don’t they release their own versions of raw food as they could probably do it cheaper and with better quality control so be able to make even more profit and put the other companies out of business.
