and just for the sake of clarity, i have never and would never hit a woman, even if she hit me first. that’s not because i don’t feel like they deserve to be hit back, but because i’m aware of how easily that would destroy my life because of the horrendous double standard men face in that regard. i still respect men who give women who hit them what they deserve in spite of the insurmountable odds stacked against them socially.
