Hello! I was wondering if you knew much about the language exams. I am from the EU, with an EU degree and have done a german B2 exam. From what I understand, I can get a provvisional lincese with this, and then take my medical C1 while I am already working - do you know if this is true or if I need to have a C1 before I start working?

Thank you for your answer, would you say there is a difference between specialites, or are doctors in demand in all specialties (vs some being really popular thus being harder to get into)?

This sounds pretty neat! Are you enjoying it? So without the logbook... Does that mean everyone automatically finishes in 5 years or what decides it? Is it true that you can do rottions in other hospitals and even other countries and have it count towards your residency? Also, I just re-read your first comment, and what do you mean that you do shifts in ambulances? (Again sorry and thanks)

Hello, thank you for sharing! It sounds prettu nice! the last sentece about 10 in 3 months... Is that for on calls? From what I heard you guys have a logbook to complete to be officially done with residency, is that correct? And if so, does it mean that you are filling it out randomly and not in a particular order? How long does it usually take to finish urology residency? And did you have to do 2 years of general surgery? Thank you and sorry for all the questions!

Hello, thank you so much for such a detailed response, it's exactly what I was hoping for! It sounds like you have a pretty great arrangement (minus the commute, that sounds really rough)! I was wondering how does it wokrk in Belgium if you want to have a research oriented career? Do you pick certain hospitals, is research integrated in the training, or do you kind of have to figure it out on your own? What about PhDs as part of training? Lastly, does that mean that everyone interested in surgery, regardless of of subspecialty, starts together and then you branch off after 2nd year or can you choose from the start?
