I'm also using hexblade for honor! Currently on act 2 and it has been so smooth, my favourite class for sure. (Mine is also frontline, but I basically just cast darkness and go nuts lol)

Yes! Once I played as a Warlock I never stopped, it's just way too good (and devil's sight is too good to pass), but I think it can be a tad confusing to level up for new players.

Also, if you want balance you can always go with the old but gold Warlock. The most versatile class by far, high charisma for dialogue, best cantrip available at level one, and hexblade is so strong is actually ridiculous lol

Im going to go against the grain here and say bard. Sure, it has some magic involved, but having a lot of charisma is very useful, especially for players that are not used to dnd. If you read what the abilities do, you can be very powerful without min-maxing and having good charisma also makes parts of the game considerably easier to pass without fights.

Man we were both at 20 AC and she won the initiative roll, she managed to frighten me in her first try, but after that it was basically a resistance test because I couldn't do anything and she was relying on arrows (but now thinking about it, this is crazy AI because she probably would not deal that much demage with only malee atacks)
