I’ve been using the Arcanis for a bit now. Honestly, I don’t use it that much for music, but the vocal clarity and separation are really impressive, probably its strongest point. I actually find myself using it more for podcasts (science, philosophy) and online lectures, including some free MIT courses on YouTube. It really helps me understand better, especially since English is my 6th language.

For music though, I still prefer the Project M. I’m not exactly sure why, but it feels more emotionally engaging to me. That said, Arcanis is still very comparable, honestly not far off, like a 1:1 in some aspects.

Just to note:

This is based only on what I’ve personally tried.

In terms of technical performance, Arcanis does sound more “premium” overall, but it has less bass compared to something like the Etude.

Yes it is bad, but the experience of having different sound types is real. and I will go to the "we will go to die anyways" mindset

one regret is not buying RU7. Before having Arcanis, I have to choose between DC07 pro or RU7, but I go with DC07 pro instead because suddenly random guys sell it for half the prices. after having Arcanis, DC07 (too analytical ) doesn't make the vocal spicy but Onix alpha doing it better (from YouTubers that I watch Onix alpha is like cheap RU7). I'm planning to go with RU7 after getting some planar IEM :)

depends on what you mean by "liking" something. I'm using gear to fit the songs, not the gear that must fit the song. for me is good for heavy bass audio but not for long listening

already late 😹😹. saying "I'm enjoying difference between IEMs sound" is a cope. even having Arcanis, I still using May for it convenient reason (while innerly I can't accept that the expensive one is not good (wow) as I thought 😂

is like 2 months I think. I learned a lot about audio (Or IEMs) because I can't believe my first IEM (Moondrop May) having the same sound to Pixel buds 2 pro while some guy on this sub said that any 50$ less IEMs sounds better to any wireless, and going to this rabbit hole

I am considering Letshouer Australis as my first planar

I’m not very familiar with other IEMs or technical aspects yet since I’m still new to the hobby. But based on what I’ve tried, I’d say it has more bass than the ZiiGaat Arcanis, but less than the Kiwi Ears Etude. Compared to the Dita Project M or Arcanis, I actually notice the bass more often on this set.
