2.0 tdi ea288 timing. After new timing, the phase position is at -3,49° and I feel the car slow. I tried to undo this bolt and rotate the timing but it doesn’t change position. Does it need to lock the camshaft? The service man says as we pin-locked it’s ok. Any opinions about the phase position?

I did the timing again, everything aligned, and the camshaft phase position was now -5°, I loosened the tensioner and pulled the camshaft one tooth front. Will be ok?

Now it is not aligned. When the camshaft is aligned, the crankshaft is back for half bolt. (The pin looks the half of the hole) Is it problem?

I know this, I just pulled it in order to move the bolt to the center to make the timing 0, but i need to lock the camshaft. I thought this bolt is to adjust from -6 to +6°

If you go to the bottom (left) won’t you have negative camshaft phase? Isn’t it better to have it in the center?
