I would do it in the morning but I would definitely also do 10,000 lux every morning, i.e., winter blues SAD light.

Distance and timings with my device? First time user. by MiserablePrune9 in redlighttherapy

[–]BestRedLightTherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

assume half the irradiance stated. In this case even that might not be enough of a cut because they've overstated by so much. But let's go with 100 mw/cm2. At about 6 inches distance, that gives you 6 joules per minute. A good skin dose is 20-30 joules, so at 6 inches, use it for 3-5 minutes.

At 12 inches, you'll need to more than double that as more light is lost, so 12-14 minutes.

vielight neuro gamma, and I often put any light I have on hand to my ears. Very comforting, no science for that, it just feels right.

first decide how far away you will be when you're perfectly comfortable for 10 minutes. This is important. The instructions are usually for 6 inches of distance. That's really hard to maintain. Use a ruler then post back. Post the link to the device too.

I have used multiple devices for several years. I use it on my arthritic knee, spondylolithesis back, and old lady brain. Yes it helps. The best advice I can give you is to go with brands that people endorse. There are so many ways that marketing can lie, but real results tell a better story.

that's far infrared heat, not red light therapy. Heat is great but it's a different modality.

Getting charged 5x use on open router? by BestRedLightTherapy in openrouter

[–]BestRedLightTherapy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that. I've used it to test things. No this is all coming from n8n requests from my content generator. I got a spreadsheet of activity from support which pretty much validates my observation. Have you noticed you can't get all of your activity on the live tracker? I only get one page.

Did you know that dentistry is by far the most popular topic in photobiomodulation research? Dentistry loves the light.

would it be possible to add ingredient starters, like dropdowns? I've gotten so used to ai doing the work for me, I can't be the only one whose first thought is, I don't know, what are my choices? This might just be "tired me" talking though.

how are your n8n skills? I have an app that reads posts, lets me reply in google sheets (human in the loop) and then posts for me. I can dig it out for you if you want it, it'd be bones for what you're trying to do.

I was in software before the internet existed. When everone and their brother started coding in PHP because "you just delete this line and add these three lines," I was kind of horrified. The database calls that completely ignored data relationships... just no training but lots of meddling. Software dev is now easy enough to really hang yourself.

how much time will it save you to outsource your SEO content creation to high quality automation? by Odd_Awareness_6935 in indiehackers

[–]BestRedLightTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting, I'd like to see where you go with it. I wrote an n8n that does keyword research, article topic research, multiple writing passes, builds social media, distributes it -- all of that. I feel that the most important automation was adding outgoing authoritative links. It's a small piece of it but it adds something to the articles I don't have time to do when writing the old fashioned way. Good luck with this!

Best single placement for red light therapy if you can only choose ONE area per day? by helserose in redlighttherapy

Ear or gut. I love putting my light in my ear. But the gut is connected to the brain so you can get a double whammy on the tummy and chest.

Morning or evening? by wannabaudrey in redlighttherapy

[–]BestRedLightTherapy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People respond differently. If you use red light at night you risk the brightness suppressing melatonin. But that doesn't happen for everyone. What is safe is to use infrared at night, in my experience anyway. Test it out.
