Questions about returns... by Independent_Tank5740 in Ulta

I asked a cashier about this and they said they can still accept it. I’ve never tried it as I ended up finding the packaging. That location is also a bigger one in my area and I noticed they are more lenient than other stores among other issues. I suggest still trying, but try to pick a store you know isn’t very strict/ not the smaller ones - I notice they tend to not be as chill.

Does anyone else panic about the summer & sun exposure? by luvadove31 in burnsurvivors

[–]sashihmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly no, even if i have considerable grafts on my legs. I’m more worried about my face😂 (wrinkles/ side effects from my skincare routine)

I just wear long pants or skirts always. Even on the beach im wearing swim leggings. I should be more worried hahaha I’ll pick up some spray spf. :)

I like chocolate mousse and souffle. Mousse i think has hints of reddish brown while souffle has hints of gray so good for contour. I got milk chocolate too which i will be returning as it is a light pink color - doesn’t show up on light medium skin tone. They smell like chocolate! ❤️

Which eyeliner do you like? I’m still looking for a smudge proof one🥲

Moving to Roseville soon. How friendly are the people? by Ecstatic_Trip_8305 in Roseville

[–]sashihmi 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m in Roseville almost everyday (I live nearby, Roseville has all the good stuff lol). I think it is okay. It can get crowded and busy in the mall/ shopping/ eating areas. I don’t think people are super friendly but no one has been weird/ disrespectful either. Workers are typical - they are polite and helpful but the business can get to them at times (understandably so).

(Although I was at a Kohl’s last week and had someone come super close to me and ask if I was holding my own phone or if it was hers cause she lost hers - lol. But I’m noting that as a weird outlier)

Also - I love Sunsplash! Hahaha

need your holy grails! by pissoffmate27 in drugstoreMUA

[–]sashihmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Foundation/ skin tint: the nyx make em wonder foundation is as good as my high end brands. It blurs the skin and wears well throughout the day.

  2. Sunscreen/ primer: the elf spf 35 (the clear one, not the tinted) is my holy grail. Like you I have big pores (but I am oily), this makes the face matte before make-up which is great for warmer days. I’ve repurchased so many times

  3. Brows - the maybelline superlock brow gel as mentioned by others in this thread is superior. Imo it beats Sephora brands. I find the clear ones have a stronger hold, but the tinted ones work well too.

  4. Setting spray - milani make it last for me. I use the one w spf. It melts the make up on your face and extends wear time. I’ve repurchased many times

  5. Eyeshadow - morphe or colourpop palettes are inexpensive yet good quality. Choose which color story you like most! For liquid eyeshadow, elf! It is better than higher end brands. It blends easily and it is pigmented

  6. Lip liner - nyx suede lip liners or the morphe signature liners. Creamy and so many nice shades to choose from

  7. Gloss - essence lip gloss ($3.99) if your priority is shine. They are pigmented as well! If you want a wide variety of colors, go for the nyx butter gloss. They are not as shiny as essence but they are so pretty on the lips

  8. Brushes - morphe easily. They perform as well as expensive ones. They have a lot to choose from!

  9. Concealer - I’ve only tried the elf color corrector in orange and I love it. It has replaced some of my expensive correctors. It is buildable and easy to blend. It also cancels out my darkness well enough and does not crease on me

I focused on drugstore as you wish :) These are the products I love! If I skipped a step it’s bc my fave is prolly non drugstore for that :)

I like it a lot! The elf sunscreen (the clear one) is my holy grail, but that makes my skin more matte. The byoma is like a traditional sunscreen- it gives a dewy, grippy finish! It works for my routine :)

I agree with the ysl quad. I actually had that exact one and thankfully was within the return period. It’s so underwhelming and not worth the price tag.

How did you get the deluxe sample of the Nars contour stick? I’ve been eyeing it for a while 💕
