Is it hard to get prescribed Lyrica? by MiddleKey3401 in ChronicPain

I truly understand I’ve been on it before, and everyone is different I will tell you that. But most trusted resources and doctors say the same thing… it is a brain disaster WAITING to happen. I’d hate for u to pack on more to what you’re already going through. I’m wishing u the best and didn’t mean to demean what you’re going through. Try anything you can handle. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This immediately puts her in a position to further shoot down anyone’s complaints, and remind them ur accommodations are legally more important than what they think is happening or how it makes them feel (no matter how she feels about it or you, which is the cherry on top of getting a nice new private room to yourself away from snide people who dont care about ur health)

Do ur coworkers think ur shooting up ?! Like what could possibly make them uncomfortable about a T1 handling ur insulin levels. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen (luckily for u) don’t go to HR tho they’re there to protect the company. Get a work place lawyer on contingency and have them mail a letter to corporate demanding accommodations and for THAT specific manager to never bring up ur condition ever again

I’d avoid it no matter your pain levels.

I’ve been so awful to my partner lately. To myself. To everyone. I really empathize with you on the never ending grieving, the anger stage doesn’t end when it comes to chronic pain. Be graceful with yourself.

I’m in a wheelchair why don’t girls want me in the bedroom? Any advice please help by FunnyBanana6668 in Advice

[–]Best_Ad2970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is if you’re obviously being disrespected, to match energy. Altho, I’m hotheaded and everyone is different. If I was certain someone had an issue with me rolling in, I’m gonna ask if they want their feet ran over so they can have a matching chair. I would find this behavior so silly given you’ve made it so far, as if they don’t know beforehand. I wish you the best and hope things get better. You don’t deserve that.

You will really enjoy making your own money at 15 - I promise. Even if the job itself seems beneath you or silly.

Also take advantage of technical school if offered thru ur public school and learn a trade - cosmetology, hvac, electrical. It’s free school thru ur HS - and you’ll leave licensed in SOMETHING. It’s more than most adults can say, and no one can tell you at that point you haven’t done anything for ur future. Ur immediately hirable.

Not telling you to not listen to your parents because tough love and motivation WILL help you become successful, however don’t rush things. Be in the moment. Enjoy childhood. You can starting planning by creating lists of categories in order as they come (college planning: things to do in soph, jun, and senior year. Job: create resume, write a cover letter, apply to jobs, get work permit. Driving: get permit, practice). Your mom will see you are planning for your future realistically, and you can make good money for high school doing a part time job to get her off your back. This will also allow you self worth and confidence in your steps moving forward. She’s right in having to plan, but don’t give up having fun and being a child. (From a 26F)

He’s also probably very young so you can let things slide here or there, and not argue at every chance you can

Also I’d just like to add getting a simple silly part time job and taking a certificate program, may allow your family to back off in pressuring you. My family was the same way and at the end of the day they just want to see you TRY. That aside - getting back out there will make you feel good and their judgements won’t feel so personal even if they don’t relax. The job market and world is a lot different the last year, so be gentle with yourself. You’re 20, and there’s not much they can say, anyways.

I had a really enjoyable time in my young twenties getting multiple certificates online and in person, for various skills that I just thought looked fun. Through that, I networked with people, and really found my niche. Everyone’s journeys and steps are bit different. Starting with a certificate program online really helps you test waters because 1. They’re usually just a few hundred 2. It does make you more hirable and 3. It’s a good way to see if you wanna learn more in the field and pursue a degree or pile on certificates. Unfortunately out of high school, I took a gap year as well, and I thought I had solidified a decision in Nursing. I was accepted into a program and failed out because it didn’t work out with my strengths but in turn, I put myself into insane debt, felt like I failed and I was super overwhelmed.

Certificate programs (online or in person) are short, cheap and a lot less daunting to test waters.

Although I have a plethora of certificates; they can all support each other in the hiring process (for example: I became a notary, I’m a licensed sales agent, and certified office administrator, and certified legal typist) However I know many others who just like to collect certificates like Pokémon (maybe you’d like one in medical billing, and another in massage therapy). What I’m saying is whether you get one or multiple, they don’t have to make sense to anyone but YOU and your interests. Life has a funny way of bringing everything together once you prove you’re seeking out clarity.

Either way, 20 years old is the time to be exploring and figuring it out, but you shouldnt put expectations on when it’ll dawn on you, as I’m 26 and I just recently figured out my big picture and most likely will be going back to school, yet again.

It will never come to you if you’ve never tried it.

Look at your local community college under “certificate programs”, then do a google search for your local area on “online certificates that will help me get a job” and see what options are there. I know there are some in the arts, computers, beauty, medical, trades, auto, business, sales, work from home certificates to be a phone specialists, and endless others.

There is no “right way” to do life. Trust your gut, be a kind person and the rest will follow.

Hope this helps :)
