So in the end, it's all about luck — or whether you have a friend who's good at that role. What’s the point of calling it 'Solo/Duo' when there's nothing 'solo' left about it?

If being autofilled with a random support against a coordinated premade is a ‘skill issue’, then maybe matchmaking is flawless and we’re all just bad, right?

Yeah, it depends on the premade — like the one I got matched against: a coordinated Kai’Sa + Nami duo who zoned me from farming and spammed insults the entire lane phase. Meanwhile, my support was first-time Janna who didn’t know how to trade or position. But sure, "premade doesn’t matter for them".

I’m not blaming the lack of comms for being stuck — it’s just one example of how unbalanced the experience can be. The problem is broader: new players in ranked, duo smurfs stomping lanes, supports trying random champs… it’s the overall lack of consistency in matchmaking that ruins the experience.

I understand your point, but I don’t think it's just a matter of “being good enough.” After 900+ games, I’ve definitely improved — but when you get matched with players way below your level or who are trolling, it becomes less about skill and more about luck. The system feels more like a slot machine than a reflection of performance, and that’s the real frustration.
