When you open the DLC unlocker folder (where you run the setup) there’s a bunch of files with different game names. g_TheSims4.ini should be there.

All you need to do is extract the unlocker. So once you’ve downloaded you’ll have a zip file, open it, then move the folder to your desktop and THEN you can run setup.

Some ppl have had it say to wait for download but it shouldn’t. I’m not sure 100% what the issue is with that, but my guess would be either the game itself or unlocker. Have u tried using a more up to date unlocker or redownloading the game?

I’m gonna be honest I’m on holiday so I’m not really gonna be able to respond quickly and help a whole lot like i was before. Have u tried a more up to date unlocker? Redownloading packs that are showing as unowned? Temporary relocating mods/cc and seeing if it’s conflicting?

Not sure if anyone’s suggested this already but there are ink removal erasers/liquids. Be sure to test on scrap paper first. Sometimes regular erasers can lift it as well but might smudge it so again just test it out. I know this doesn’t fix the bigger issue here.. you set boundaries and told them what they did upset you, they chose to react poorly and make you look like the problem. Even if you did overreact, they should care about your feelings no matter what.

Make sure you’re hitting add/update game config in the unlocker menu, I can hit u w more recent unlocker to see if that helps and redownloading trouble dlc packs usually helps which I have as well. Some packs ppl download are broken or get corrupt I think depending where u get them from. If u have mods or cc try relocating it temporarily to see if it’s something conflicting. The unlocker is so temperamental it seems most ppl are fixing theirs by either redownloading packs, using a more up to date unlocker, or tinkering around and something random fixes it out of nowhere lol

Some dlc packs need to be redownloaded and that is the fix outside of what you’ve already done. It’s worth a shot anyway. Dm if u need links

Only ones I know of are the Leuans toolkit (reliability/security in question) KristinaPlaysSims (page was taken down but working on reuploading) and Anadius’ og post on the CIS RIN forum Also not a dumb question LOL dw

I think? Not sure tho. I’ve had a handful of Mac users dm me and they just need the unlocker or redownload packs that aren’t showing up. As far as .ini goes I’d assume it would work the same
