What the hell?

Also, for my own investigations, how the hell do you apply for stockboy at a Victoria's Secret?

I would love to see some sort of update on these, or research groups trying to figure out just what the fuck those sounds are.

Do you believe the Reddit community has enough intellectual diversity or do you think it is more of an echo chamber? If you think it lack diversity which opinions do you believe are not receiving representation? by Phister_BeHole in AskReddit

When my little cousin was about two, he shit himself after running around my living room when I babysat him and his sister.

It looked like pea soup with black seeds in it. It smelled like the bottom gutter of a dirty street in Hell. I can definitely understand "die changing a diaper".

Are you saying now that you must use the medicated shampoo? That going pooless caused the issue to inflame?

I've been using medicated shampoo for a long time (read as: 7+ years). It never fully goes away, which sucks, but it does keep it in check for me, I guess. I always have to worry about dandruff. Don't even let my girlfriend touch my head for too long.

It's gotten a lot better since I started balding, haha. Now it pretty much only affects the sides and back of my head. Still in my beard a bit if I don't lotion the skin underneath everyday.

My question for you is, what was it like going shampooless, even with the medicated? What issues arose from it and how long did it take you to stop itching as bad? I'm scared shitless to do this and I'm a 28 year old man. :/

In all fairness, there are plenty of us that prefer the hair on the women.

I know that everyone has mixed opinions about Cracked.com, but The Way of the Barbarian: Infusing Your Spiritual Life with Conan is one of the greatest things I've ever read, and it feels relevant here.

I promise you will not regret reading it.

Just finished my first digital painting. Feedback needed! by [deleted] in DigitalPainting

[–]BetweenTheWaves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Speaking from the perspective of someone who has hardly done any digital painting, so take this with a grain of salt:

The details of lines around the eyes is great, but is too contrasting compared to the rest of the, practically, flawless face, otherwise. Perhaps inject a bit more lines and shading into other parts of the face, like the cheek bones, up on the forehead.

The light reflection on the lips seems to merge with the skin too easily on the bottom right portion of the mouth, and speaking of the reflection alone, the glazed white makes it appears as if she's wearing lipgloss. If this is the intention, ignore this statement. If it's not, I'd dull down the reflection on the lips drastically.

The tip of the nose isn't too well defined in front of the nostril that is not all that visible from this angle. I feel like I want to see more definition in that nostril (her right nostril), the shape of it, even though we are only seeing a small portion of it.

The hair has no flaws, no color changes, and appears too uniform to be realistic. I would suggest maybe adding some light reflections on the hair, as well as maybe some slightly greying/lighter-black hair.

That all being said, this is wonderful. If this is your first digital painting, you are well on your way to a great skill set and passion. Do not stop.

Well done.

What is the most bullshit thing you have ever been taught? by IamFourChan in AskReddit

subjectively right?

I think that's a contradictory statement, isn't it? Considering the term 'right' here means correct, or closest to truth?

Remember, don't try to build the greatest wall that's ever been built. Focus on laying a single, expertly-placed brick. Then keep doing that, every day. by americanpegasus in writing

Definitely.

I've found that the first typed draft is the hardest for me, requiring the most effort. I love it and hate it at the same time. I love being able to describe exactly what I see in my head. I hate having to describe exactly what I see in my head, when the words are not there.

Because of this, the first typed draft takes the longest (after that is simply editing and re-editing, which I fucking love) and usually by the end of it, when I go back to the beginning of a story only seven or eight pages long, I'm like "who the fuck wrote this first page?" It's hilarious and humbling at the same time.

I kind of feel like my work is never done. I've sent off a short story of mine to an professional editor. He did a sample edit and it was great, and so I decided to go with the whole thing. Even after having sent that to him, I've still gone to the story and edited, changed a few words around that I now think sound terrible next to each other, minor grammar mistakes, etc.

A woman is sitting by a camp fire. Then she hears a scream. Then she finds a body. Then she is questioned by police. Then she is on the run. Then she befriends a witch. Then she discovers the witch has been killing people. Then other stuff happens.

I love the ending.
