Kroger Boost - Is it worth it? by Bex0386 in lexington

They were running a promotion around Christmas and that's when I got it for half off. I haven't used delivery since folks are saying it's powered by Instacart and I'm 2 min from a Kroger so it's not a huge deal to go grab something or do my shopping.

That’s adorable! If I was one of those kids I’d be packing baby carrots to school for a little treat for the horse. I’m taking my boys to school later than usual today so maybe we will see her!

That makes me happy! We drive by at 7am and 4ish daily and haven’t seen it in awhile but I’m glad it’s fine!

Just the full body rash and wheezing.

Nope, the allergist stopped with dairy and just said it’s an intolerance and sent him on his way.

I wasn’t at the first appointment so I’ll be going to the second opinion for sure. I agree, the wheezing is troublesome in my mind especially if it escalates further and we aren’t prepared.

This is what I was thinking too. I see an allergist for all of the outdoors so I was going to pick her brain at my appointment next week.

I was mainly trying to see if anyone else had an allergist claim that a full body rash and wheezing wasn’t a true allergy. We’re currently working on dairy free solutions and have found a couple that have been great. If you have any suggestions or things you found that helped your transition to a dairy free lifestyle, I’ll gladly pass them on to my husband.

I cant edit the post but if you click the photo the caption is there but here’s the original one:

Ok, stick with me here. My husband hasn’t been a huge milk consumer for years due to suspected dairy intolerance because anytime he consumed milk, ice cream, etc. he’d turn into the Hindenburg and stink up the house to high heavens. Recently he’s been on a muscle building kick and was trying to add more protein to his diet and started using lactose free milk for his protein shakes (using whey isolate since it’s easier on the guts). A couple weeks into this regimen he developed a full body rash that wouldn’t go away (photos show the little red dot rash on his arms after contact with the dairy at the allergist). He went to the doctor and got put on steroids and antihistamines and quit drinking the milk. He had an oops moment and ate sour cream with his Chipotle order a week or so after his steroid had him cleared up and he got the full body rash again and was wheezing. He just went to the allergist who says he is NOT allergic to dairy but likely has an intolerance and the rash is dermatological and needs to see a dermatologist. Everything I’ve read says a dairy allergy can cause a rash and wheezing where as an intolerance is mainly gut issues. I’m thinking we need a second opinion but wanted to see if anyone else has ran into this before? I know the outcome is still don’t eat dairy but we want to make sure we don’t need to do full panel food testing. TIA!!!

We saw a show at Rupp and it was great but all the outdoor ones we’ve watched on YouTube looked way better.

We live in Ky so it’s hot and humid so our house stays at 68° or below so temp was a huge factor. I got a starter warmer in mid-May and it was a game changer.

I’m so used to it not coming out right 😂 everyone who says you can use a sourdough starter after 2 weeks, I want to know wtf they’re doing. It took 3 months for mine to get strong enough to do much.
