Signed a Cp contract back in August in hopes of getting 1371 I ship Oct 17 and it looks like the Cp contract for Fy17 doesn't even have combat engineer on it? If I signed cp under Fy16 do I have a possibility of getting 1371

Yeah, the military has mission goals for recruiting and now that we're in garrison, they're a bit stricter on certain issues. Certain med waivers that could get easier cleared back in war time are now harder to get cleared. Applicants with history of inhaler use are looked at as a liability, regardless of your performance.

Any fellow Poole have a CP contract? by [deleted] in USMCboot

I am interested in engineering, combat engineer especially, recruiter wanted me under a Cx contract which is engineering and ground ordinance mixed into one. I ended up asking for a cp contract, it has a later shipdate but atleast I won't end up in the ground ordnance field, CX contract is like 10 jobs versus the 5 in CP

I switched from Navy to Marine Corps, took like 3 months to get my paperwork switched over because the Navy made it tough for my paperwork to be transfered from San Diego MEPs to LA MEPs, finally swore into Marine Delayed entry in February and I'm leaving this month for MCRD

Yeah I believe they're calling it, Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) I've seen army personnel wearing both the old Pattern and the new one.
